Wisoncisn coach, just gives me a vibe. Like the type that verbally abuses his players. And not in a cool way like Parcells.

Just driving home and heard Espn radio mention the redskins didnt address the QB position because they believe in beck and are also interested in Kyle Orton? SS any word on this? Apparently it was from Adam S

We'll trade you Haynesworth for him. Trust us he loves the 3-4. Great fit.

First I heard of Orton being linked to the Redskins. But both Networks were heavily stressing the staffs belief in Beck.
People gotta also remember that we run that zone blocking scheme and that every olineman isnt built to zone block. That may be the reasoning behind us not drafting any olinemen. I want us to draft a center so bad though....Im so tired of Rabach. I will do a back flip if we draft the center Syracuse. That's my squad....
You just said a mouthful brother.

Seeing his interview on ESPN. He's actually very well spoken. I expected him to have a little bit of southern draw.

He brings shame to HawkeyeNation
Bielema made statewide news after an Iowa victory over Iowa State at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City. During the postgame handshakes at midfield, Bielema--then a senior--confronted Cyclone coach Jim Walden and said, "You're a big prick. I enjoyed kicking your ass for five years (including his redshirt year)." Hawkeye fans loved it, Cyclone fans hated it.
Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7

We had a bottom 5 receiving and runnning back core in the NFL last year. Those were need picks especially with moss being a free agent.

Hankerson, Armstrong as starters. One big body control type receiver, with a burner on the outside.

Then Niles Paul, Malcom Kelly, Terrance Austin, Niles Paul, Aldrick Robison competing for the other 3 spots. I love it.

Torrain and Helu as our 1 2 punch, with Royster and Williams now competing for the 3rd spot. Its a good thing. Still have 4 picks to get other potential roster players.

Knowing Shanahan they're all competing for the number 1 spot. Torrain and Williams might get a slight edge due to the fact that they have game tape of them in their system but I imagine it's a wide open competion. Even Torrain could get cut.

Which one is which? Hankerson is 6-1 1/2, 210lbs and ran a 4.4, Armstrong is probably around the same speed, and 5-11, 185lbs. They can both fly, but Hankerson has size to boot.

Not too many WRs, especially 3rd round guys, have an impact in year one, but Hankerson will certainly get his shot considering how paltry the rest of the group is. Apparently he's got a great work ethic and no character flags (rare for guys from The U), so I have high hopes for the kid.

I wonder where Malcolm Kelly will fit in, if at all....

Finally a position of need, to bad he's not that good. But hey I'd rather take a chance on a position of need than a position of overhaul

Does Xorners rhyme with Zorners? :laughing-

Re: 2011 NFL Draft: Rounds 4-7

From NFL.com:

Thompson has the instincts, initial quickness, hands, mentality and special teams experience to be a productive sub-package defensive back in the NFL. Not blessed with size or top-end speed to hold up on an island or become a full-time starter. Does a good job in underneath man coverage, pressing at the line, jumping routes and making plays on the ball. Is comfortable and effective in zone coverage. However, does not have the length or deep speed to run with vertical threats down the sideline. Will help out against the run, is a sound tackler in the open field, but has difficultly getting off blocks. Late-round prospect.

It seems clear that they expect the young bucks from last year - Cook, Capers, etc. - to grow up and be that competition.
