For the last decade, it's been so easy for people to say the same ol' things about the Redskins/Dan Snyder. People have gotten accustomed to not expecting anything but failure from this franchise, so they act accordingly. Show the least bit of optimism and you're labeled delusional. Certainly, they have a little point being that the franchise has shown little or no progress, but eventually it's going to get it right. I think this is the best thing Snyder has done for the team since he's being the owner. I think it's shown in the front office, and it's just a matter of time until it starts translating on the field.
For the most part I agree with what you're saying...in my opinion the Redskins organization as a whole is similar to the boy who cried wolf...every year there is optimism that the organization has made a turn for the better and every year the fans are disappointed...this year the fans do not see any hope because the organization has not made an effort to address some of the most important needs to for the team, so most fans are just taking a back seat hoping that they are wrong and that progress will be made...

THE single funniest thing I have ever read on here!

So if we are cutting all these ILB, who is supposed to be playing the position. Looks like Fletch and maybe Lorenzo?!?!?

Edit: Oh, I forgot about Riley. I don't think Rocky will start. Do you? I'd guess Fletch and Riley

Lol @Ruhskins. Thanks but I already promised not to post that video again until the season starts. I also promised not to mention another player that will be a rookie this year until week 1 of the season :D
You're way over your max allowable for that Vader video.
As I said before, the only person who promised to stop using that video for a set amount of time was me. Everyone else is free to use the Vader video as much as they want.

Anthony Armstrong - WR - Redskins
Anthony Armstrong appears to have been demoted to the third receiver at Redskins camp, behind Santana Moss and Jabar Gaffney.
Armstrong is only playing when the Redskins go with three receivers. Moss moves into the slot in those formations, with Armstrong and Gaffney out wide. Some early drops haven't helped Armstrong, and OC Kyle Shanahan made it clear at the start of camp that he'd have to compete to keep his starting job. For now, the reliable veterans Moss and Gaffney are ahead of him.

Redskins release first depth unofficial depth chart with Rex as the top QB. Beck is listed second.

granthpaulsen Grant Paulsen
#Redskins release game-notes for FRI night. First depth chart: Grossman, Hightower, Young, Moss, Gaffney, Cooley at first-team skill spots

Rich_Campbell Rich Campbell
The depth chart was released in advance of Friday's game, so it's quite possible that Beck's injury factored into his ranking.

The battle at WR is one of the most interesting to me. No idea who the fifth is or whether they keep 6. I am guessing if Banks is healthy come the regular season they keep 6 and he is the sixth. Otherwise they go with 5.

From Grant Paulsen a few minutes ago: Fred Davis just made a TD catch in the corner of the endzone in front of Bruce Allen. Asked, "Was I in Bruce?" Allen raised hands in air.

That looks like a great D to me, except for Doughty filling in for Landry. Get LaRon on that list and it's really an impressive group. I can foresee a Top-10 defense this season. Growth from the year 1 3-4 holdovers and gaps being filled by the additions.

Last year was a tough transition year...a new scheme for everyone and not enough 3-4 guys on the roster to run it successfully. This season will be a dramatic improvement.

gotta say pretty disappointed in the depth chart. Wanted to see Beck Riley and about anybody but Reed D at safety. Woulda been nice to see Hankerson or Armstrong outplaying Gaffney. How come I got this funny feeling Landry not gonna be ready for week 1?

I know its just the first chart, but like its been stated, with the shortened offseason, preseason games alittle more important this year.

I see us having a bottom half of the league offense in terms of yards. I think our offense will put up so few points other teams won't have to run the score up. I like our safety combo, but hate our corner combo. I see us giving up a lot of big plays through the air, and some decent plays on the ground.

I still don't think Orakpo is great at OLB. At some point you need to stop doing the same move. It became obvious the holds weren't being called. Get to the QB. Kerrigan is a rookie in the middle of a position change, I expect very little from him. Fletcher is ancient. I think our DL looks pretty good, except I wish we had a more prototypical NT. I'll give Cofield a chance to play that position before I make any judgements.

I hope I'm wrong. However, I see our defense as pedestrian. I'm not a big Hasslet fan and think we still lack some of the explosive 3-4 components.

This may be the case but we definatley have an offer on the table. It's an offer the Team likes and is good for us. We aren't overpaying anyone anymore so it's up to Lofa .. J Wilson is still working him too

yeah hes not bad as a guy who comes in specific packages (goaline, playin up on the line) and a nice special teams player, but hes not an every game starter. I had zero clue Landry would still be hurtin at this point. I really hope LL is gonna be ready.

I forgot about Jackson, but I've pretty much given up on the Tatupu idea. because there has been no more chatter about it from anyone other then us fans. Plus the team has brought in other players since. But if they bring him in then it will be a nice suprise but otherwise I've figured the team made an offer and he's wanting more so he's holding out thinking someone's LB will get hurt and he will get what he's looking for or he's wanting to play for a specific team and they have not shown much interest.
