It would definitely open up options with our picks. |

You have to look at cap implications when comparing a draft pick to a veteran. |
Re: DeSean Jackson meeting with the Redskins on Monday
It would also take WR off the board for the next couple of years in the early rounds anyway.

We are fighting over whether or not the Redskins will get @DeseanJackson10 ha ha Come on @Redskins !!! pic.twitter.com/9okJ3alKZl — Robert Griffin III (@RGIII) April 1, 2014
This is driving me nuts. WHO IS THE OTHER PERSON IN THE PICTURE?>??F??D?!!#@*($#&#@$983724903@ Edit: Never mind I found out it's former Baylor CB Ike Williams. However now I need to know WHY is fighting Ike Williams for Desean Jackson. Crap my nose is bleeding again. |
John Keim tweet:
And, yes, I do think this is where I think desean wants to be. But the deal has to be right. |
By the way Lotus, I get that John Keim's tweet is exactly your fear for the future.

This is worse than being a kid on Christmas Eve.

Re: DeSean Jackson meeting with the Redskins on Monday
Interesting...
John Keim @john_keim 7m One thing I've seen in past with Jackson's agent Joel Segal is he doesn't like to send his wr's to bad qb teams if possible. Bad 4 biz |
Re: DeSean Jackson meeting with the Redskins on Monday
Just a thought, if Danny (or God forbid Vinnie) we're running this show, a deal would have been in place even before DeSean was released. And we know for certain that it would have been an awful deal for the Redskins. There were so many...
So this whole process is something new. It certainly seems that Danny is not driving the Bus anymore, else a deal would be in place. Seems to me that Bruce Allen's coming out party continues, and I, for one, like it. As long as he listens to the right personnel guys, and I think he is. I like the direction, whether we sign dJax or not, it bodes for better times ahead for the Redskins. |

Ware and Jared Allen ridiculous contracts, maybe would have outbid everyone for J. Byrd (although maybe they would have never gone after a player we actually need), and given Philly multiple picks for D. Jax. This is why I don't get the people that say "it's just like before" about this situation. |
Re: DeSean Jackson meeting with the Redskins on Monday
Add Dale Jr. to the D. Jax recruiting movement:
Dale Earnhardt Jr. @DaleJr 8m @DeseanJackson10 Go to DC and make things happen. 👊 #HTTR |
Re: DeSean Jackson meeting with the Redskins on Monday
The hottie that broke the initial news has tweeted...
Dianna Marie Russini @NBCdianna 2m Per sources close to DeSean Jackson and the Redskins...they have agreed to terms. #Redskins https://twitter.com/NBCdianna/status/451202857229119488 |
Re: DeSean Jackson meeting with the Redskins on Monday
Per NBCDianna from NBC in DC, its official, Jackson is a Redskin.

Or its her last gasp at an April fools joke

Re: DeSean Jackson meeting with the Redskins on Monday
Regarding the earlier tweet about D. Jax having dinner with a "crew":
Kevin @HTTR24_7 17m The "crew" with Desean was his agent J.Segal & B.Allen.. FWIW |
Re: DeSean Jackson meeting with the Redskins on Monday
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 37s

Re: DeSean Jackson meeting with the Redskins on Monday
Well, it's a done deal. Offense should be very pleasant to watch next year. If our defense and special teams remotely show up, it could be competitive.

I cant sleep now. Waiting for week one.

Re: DeSean Jackson meeting with the Redskins on Monday
Nice! Our offense is going to be a whole lot of fun to watch!

Re: DeSean Jackson meeting with the Redskins on Monday
No Dirt, not true. The cost of releasing Jackson was a $6 mil. dead cap hit. See here or here.
This is one reason why I have beaten the drum against DJax. Philly wanted him gone so bad, they were willing to absorb immediately a dead cap hit of $6 mil. Besides, in two years a DJax deadcap hit of $6 mil. could be ours, too, if we sign him.
If thats the case you have to wonder how the guys in the Philly locker room feel. Riley Cooper stays on the team after an awful public incident that was caught on film for the world to see while Jackson gets unceremoniously released due to alleged gang ties. Regardless the Eagles front office methods don't concern me. Only actions that made way for us to sign an elite player in their prime on the open market. Maybe it will end up being too good to be true but as stated before I'm more then fine with that risk. |
