It is, but they win. We've been screwed over by having not just a losing team, but an ass of an owner that has done terrible things, and we're located in a big TV market with everyone's eyes on the team.

At this point, I don't care if we are called the Sillynannies, I just want the team to win and to get rid Snyder.

Our name sort of stood out due to its derogatory nature. It would be like if there were teams called the samurais, the ninjas, etc and we would be the chinks. Again, not taking a side one way or another but it’s fairly obvious to me why we were sort of singled out. Cleveland made their decision without real pressure. There was pressure about chief wahoo because it was pretty over the top. They probably did not have to change the name though.

Fans actions vs organization. The sponsors are tied to the organization not their fanbase. It is pretty difficult to pressure the team thru their fans actions. If we are putting them on a racist scale i would probably lean towards a derogatory name though. But whatever we are just beating a dead horse. Thing with Snyder is he took a great franchise and turned it into a joke on every level. On the field and off.

Wasnt Commanders the first name that leaked then the Skins were like "haha we intentionally leaked that and we are going to leak more possible names to keep everyone guessing!"

Oh they are going to try to force that change too. Heck, they still are attacking the Florida Seminoles despite the fact that the Seminole tribe wants the University to keep that name (Like with the Redskins they know what is good for Native Americans even if Native Americans don't).

I have been debating with myself for a while about putting together a blog (for fun) about Washington Football Team-related stuff. The name change has motivated me to finally give it a shot.

I debated on a name for it (nothing is posted yet obviously, it will go live with the official announcement of the name), and given the Commander's news, I finally decided on it today.

I wasn't going to share (I am not trying to get traffic, I am only planning this to be a hobby for personal satisfaction), but this name discussion inspired me to share.
