Another Vinny mistake was taking Landry. In my mind he is a bust, He has blown a bunch of games for us.
I would have rather had Patrick Willis or Jon Beason. |

I love London Fletcher, but Patrick Willis is a total monster. What picks do we have this year (round by round)? I'm having a brain fart. |

I would love it if Brandon Spikes slipped into the early part of the 2nd round and we snagged him. |

Last thing we need right now is more dirty players. We've gone from reflecting Gibbs character to miroring Snyder. |

One play and Spikes is dirty? Nah. He's been a team leader and the best player on Florida's defense. He's a prototype 4-3 MLB. And he passed up NFL millions last season to come back to school and earn a degree and try to win another title. He's no Laron Landry, trust me. I love that no one talks about how Spikes had his face clawed and helmet ripped off prior to the eye gouge incident. Not saying it's an excuse, but everyone wants to pigeon-hole him as dirty. He made a mistake, but he's not a dirty football player. |

No excuse for the play in question, but to label him as a dirty player overall for one incident is just dumb. Kiper and McShay both agreed that that one play will have zero effect on his draft status. |
A perfect draft would be to trade down and get an OL,OG, then go for Toby Gerhart and Jimmy Clausen if he's available. We will need to make some trades and try to get as many picks as possible. My candidates to trade that gives us somekind of value are:
Moss Landry Fred Davis Andre Carter Montgomery I would keep Portis and Campbell, I think that with an OL that hey can be productive.
He's good in college, but won't be in the pros. Why, cause he's white plain and simple, and he's slow. name one good white runningback in the league. And no Jacob Hester isn't good, but he was good in college. |

We would end up moving him into the secondary anyway. |

What is being black or white have to do with talent? Is that mean that a black QB or coach is not as good as a white one? What color was Riggo? Have you seen Gerhart play? He plays with heart and guts and has had great games against Oregon, USC and all other Pac10 teams. They play USC this weekend, I suggest you watch this kid play. |
Re: Our 2010 First Round Draft Pick Should Be...
Gerhart's got third round potential, but I don't think he's our answer.
He's got game though. |

Thats why I love the O-Line. Its the only position in football with virtually no preconcieved notions of racial bias. Of course if one wants to argue the validity of stereotypes in sports then I suggest you look no further then the worlds game, where virtually every race fields elite players. Plus if white people are so slow then how come the worlds fastest soccer player is a white guy (Messi)? Using race to determine athletic prowess is as useful as a hangnail. In short Iagree with Fred. |
