re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Walking Dead's season premier did a great job of starting off the season and spicing up some of the story lines carried over from the books. Even though they've changed a lot vs the book series, I'm really digging what they are doing and loved the cliffhanger to end the premier that was almost scene for scene transfered from ink to film.

That scene with the herd spooked me out. Great first episode but it sure was loaded with commercials eh? |

Great first episode but it sure was loaded with commercials eh?
Agreed, that was annoying. The herd scene might have been the most intense 15 minutes of TV I've ever seen. It was amazing. And how about Daryl taking on a bit of a leadership role?! |

I'm looking forward to AMC's Hell on Wheels
SyFy's Lost Girl should be interesting. I mean how many shows center around a succubus? |

Boardwalk Empire is so bad ass.

Hmmm, was not feeling the season premiere at all. The conversations just dragged on way too long, almost into soap opera territory. I almost felt the show kinda tailed off after the first season's opener, but Darabont's absence has definitely been felt in S02. Something seems amiss for me- writing, acting, pacing are all a bit off to me. |

He was let go after the first few episodes were pretty much complete.
I also read that they basically took the first two episodes of the season and decided to combine them into one 90-minute show. That might explain the uneven pacing. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
i enjoyed nick swardsons season 2 premiere. thought it was alot funnier than any ep of his season 1.
workaholics is consistently funny. chopped always good. stoked for the new iron chef! |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
im really liking american horror story. watched the first 3 episodes friday night. intriguing storyline that is fastpaced with great cinematogrophy, characters and directing.
im thinking it might have some of the same people involved with true blood. btw AHS and walking, i actually have 2 drama series i can get into and follow which ive never really had/done before |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
You know what's pretty cool? I'm hitting the gym 5 days a week now as part of my lose weight initiative (started at 243, down to 232 now :)), and when I'm on the treadmill or the bike I usually watch tv to distract me somewhat. Last week as I was leaving this kid offered me a chance to do a Nielsen survey and get a free 20 dollar online giftcard, so I took the card and went home and did it, and today I just got my email with the card numbers and etc. so I got a free 20 bucks that can be used for online shopping just for filling out a little 15 minute survey about my gym and the shows I watch there. I was a little skeptic about the reward at first because I've been offered money for surveys in the past before where I didn't get anything, but it was all legit. Easy money.

Community has been put on indefinite hiatus. Chances of renewal next season looking slim
|
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Dammit! LOVED that show. I also think we were in the minority that liked Perfect Couples.
Cannot BELIEVE that Whitney was renewed for another season. Easily the least funny show on TV. If you've seen her before, basically all the jokes are her stand-up. |

Great... another gem lost among the masses. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Yeah I'm thinking about giving up on it, it's just not holding my attention and almost feels like a crappy mix of Stargate and Jurassic Park.
I got that feeling to except it felt a lot more like DS9 without an Avery Brooks level actor. Still it has dinosaurs which you can rarely go wrong with. |

By the way can anyone tell me if Kelsey Grammer's Boss is worth checking out on Starz?

I'm still hammering through Breaking Bad. Up to season 4 now, 3 episodes in.

you also need to start watching Hell on Wheels, it is like the TV show version of Red Dead Redemption. |

Yeah I've heard good things about it, right now I'm just consumed with BB lol I've lost track of The Walking Dead, I've only watched the first 2 episodes of this new season, need to get back to that one too as soon as I finish up BB. |

HEY! She is reasonably cute and actually pretty funny. Also got around to watching Boss last night. I can respect it, but I think I hate politics to much to enjoy it. Skipped Walking Dead this week looking forward to watching two episodes at once this Sunday. Big Bang Theory continues to be funny. Have to get around to watching How I Met Your Mother as it's my favorite comedy but it's nice when you're in position to watch a bunch of episodes at once instead of waiting week to week. All but forgotten about Two and a Half Men and don't plan on watching it anytime soon. How to Make it in America is a decent show but it seems to much like an Entourage clone. Boardwalk Empire I don't follow regularly but I like watching it with friends on Sunday after Walking Dead. |

The laugh track REALLY threw me off. I mean that just makes it unwatchable. It's like, "You laugh NOW." I'm just shocked at shows being canceled and that one already being renewed. |

Boardwalk is sick.... definitely an epic show. I can't believe I no longer see Micheal Pitt as the actor. Dude's got Jimmy Darmody locked down. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Just finished Season 3 of Breaking Bad. I watched all three seasons in about 3 weeks. Very good with solid characters.

To be clear, Community hasn't been canceled. Just hiatus |

I'd probably like that show but the laugh track annoys me so much that I can't watch it. Whitney, on the other hand, I can't watch because it sucks.
Like Smoot said, apparently NBC plans to bring back Community at some point, hopefully soon. I'd at least like to see them get through 4 years of school. |

I can't watch that show, and it's disappointing because I liked Whitney when she did the roasts on CC. And I completely agree about the laugh track, everytime I hear it I feel distracted and annoyed. Community doesn't look bad from what I've seen, but I feel like if they ever started doing reruns on CC I'd get into it. I just don't get into any of the primetime shows on the big 4 channels for whatever reason, but as soon as they hit CC my interest is aroused. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Community is awesome too bad most people don't watch it so I don't know if it will get another year.
A show I just Completely dislike is New Girl with Zooey Deschanel I was hoping this show was good because well Zooey is smoking hot but man it just blows not funny at all. Also is a complete copy of Happy Ending the only difference is that Happy Endings is Actually funny. I was never a big fan of Two and a Half Man because I felt they did the same joke over and over again but at least was ok to watch when nothing else was on but now with Ashton man that show suck balls A new sitcom that's good is Man up only 4 episodes in and it has been funny |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Workaholics second season has been epic, moving into classic territory. Its been better than Always Sunny this year.
Whitney show sux, but she has gotten hot. Boardwalk Empire is the sh*t, the acting if above and beyond anything else on TV by far. Michael Pitt, Buscemi and Michael Shannon best acting trio on tv period. |
re: What Shows Are You Watching?
Yep, I don't watch that many "TV Shows" anymore but Boardwalk Empire is excellent.

I know this is being a bit harsh, but my lasting image of Whitney Cummings is her at the Roast of Donald Trump looking like Michael Jackson on crack. She's up and down as far as her looks go, I mean there's moments where I think she looks good, and then moments where I'm like, where did that skinny crack whore come from? |
