Seriously, I know three weeks later I'll be saying how I cannot wait for football season....
But I Cannot wait for this year to be over. This has become such a chore to watch this team. Even last week when we kicked ass, it was a chore, I wasnt really into it... at least tonight and next week, I'll want to knock one of our division foes out of the playoffs... but its just tough to watch now... I just hope we can somehow, someway beat Dallas and send em packing...but man we look like sh*t.
You know, I used to be the same way. But, last offseason, I had a bit of an epiphany at some point. I realized that my Sundays were enjoyable and that for some reason holes stopped appearing in my walls. I consciously enjoyed the offseason from that point forward! I was bummed when training camp rolled around, because I knew days like today were on the horizon... |
Re: Redskins -Giants MNF Gameday Thread
I really do feel bad for JC. Really, as a man, he has put up with so much shit here and has never complained. He gets absolutely crushed because of the O-line, enough to end his career, his livelihood, or at least really limit his career, and he's just been blamed for not being a "vocal leader." Yeah, go get in Heyer's face, and Geisinger, Lorenzo Alexander, Montgomery, whoever played RT tonite, all these stars, just yell at them to block Pro Bowl DE's better, that's surely the problem. Totally insulting. He'll be feeling these hits for the rest of his life, but he just keeps getting up off the canvas like a man. Please, Dan, let him go play for another team, he doesn't deserve another year of this BS.

Re: Redskins -Giants MNF Gameday Thread
Zorn's explanation for the end-of-half play was staggeringly dumb. Unreal.
Will Zorn make it to the SD game as headcoach?
I think he wants home for Christmas. He is publicly daring Snyder to keep him. |

those were two different plays this play didn't have shot in hell, this play was retarded |
Malcom KELLY BETTER PRODUCE NEXT YEAR OR HE WILL BE LABELED A BUST.
I have to agree with WILSO, Kelly is a bust. Did he even get 100 yards receiving on the year thus far? ANd if he doesn't produce in 2010 or repeats his horrid 2009 performance, we will be woefully undermanned at the WR position. I don't expect Mitchell to produce anything either. If he couldn't beat out Kelly, then he isn't the shit everyone thinks he is. Besides, Nevada is a running team with that Pistol offense. You want to draft guys from a team that runs a pro or spread offense. |

there was not a play maker on that play. If you look the only guy on that side was FD. And like 5 line men. |

My point was we put in the punter's hands both times to make the play and throw the TD |

This is a really baddd Zorn press conference on ESPN. Still searching for that 5th win? Hahahahahaaa...

You dont think $$ is part of the reason for that? hard to have a 7th rounder over take your 2nd round pick. that would be like the FO admitting failure. |

I still think Kelly will shine by the middle of next season. He just needs a little time and the opportunity to make plays. Right now he's the 4th wideout and is essentially in his rookie season. |
Re: Redskins -Giants MNF Gameday Thread
Can't believe Zorn said the play before the half didn't work because of the Giants' defense! WOW!!!!!! Could it be that it was an absolutely idiotic play to run, not once, but two times!

um well we tried to excute the play and um we didn't um execute the play the way we um wanted to, i missed that question but i'm pretty sure that's his answer to every failed play |
Re: Redskins -Giants MNF Gameday Thread
Fire Zorn tommorow. Lets just get it over with.

Re: Redskins -Giants MNF Gameday Thread
Tonight's game really summed up how the season has gone and really the last ten years. A decade of overspending and incompetence.
My point was we put in the punter's hands both times to make the play and throw the TD
I can't remember the Broncos play clearly, but did we line up to run a "fake" twice? I don't think lining up for the play was a bad call, but going back to it after the defense calls a timeout sure was. It's not like the Giants D was discussing politics during the timeout. And for Zorn to be surprised that "they sniffed it out pretty good" is shockingly dumb. |
Re: Redskins -Giants MNF Gameday Thread
Jim Zorn just made himself look like a fool in his presser defending the "fake FG" call to end the half. Just a total shitshow. My god.

After Zorn's press conference I think it is safe to say the guy has totally checked out at this point.

Steve Young is just blasting the Redskins right now. I don't think I've ever heard someone on TV talk about the Redskins the way he is right now.

can we get some breaking news?

Re: Redskins -Giants MNF Gameday Thread
What did he say?
he actually just said they had good d on that play, he thought it was a "unique play" which it definitley was but he said the defense sniffed it out and made a good pla or it was a good awful play call jackass |
Re: Redskins -Giants MNF Gameday Thread
What did he say?
To paraphrase: he thought about kicking it after the Giants called a timeout, but he was thinking that there was some nuances to the play that the Giants may not have seen, so he ran it again. But the Giants "sniffed it out pretty good." His initial answer on why the play didn't work was "good defense." He sounded like me defending an obviously moronic play call to my friends when I started playing Madden in college. I don't play Madden anymore. |

Mitchell showed promise during the preseason, but Kelly has sucked for the whole year, why not try Marko out? Fuck the money, as a coach and FO you want to put the guy on the field that gets the job done. That is what it is all about, or it should be about! If you are telling me that Mitchell is better than Kelly, but sitting on the bench because his salary is less, then you have a big reason why the offense has sucked for most of the year. That is backwards thinking in my book. Mitchell should be put in there to see what he can do, because Kelly is almost non existent. Not putting the better performer into the starting lineup would be the FO failure my friend!!!!!! That is why Zorny and Cerrato are out the door!!!!! |

Re: Redskins -Giants MNF Gameday Thread
I still can't believe I called Zorn a great head coach before the season started.
Talk about drinking the Kool Aid. I should have to pay some kind of "clown tax" or something? |
Re: Redskins -Giants MNF Gameday Thread
Growing up as a Skins fan in the 80's we expected championships, we expected competency by management, by coaches and our players. These last ten years it is sad to say but I rarely have those expectations anymore.

Re: Redskins -Giants MNF Gameday Thread
Don't worry Wilso,
A lot of folks drank the Zorny Kool Aid. I wasn't one of them only for the reason that I hate the WCO, but I gave the guy the benefit of the doubt. WE have a good 3-5 seasons of team building before we get a decent winner. |
