Man, I stopped playing Skyrim months ago. It's just having too many problems on my PS3. Right now I'm playing Assassins Creed 3, it's pretty good. I'm also looking forward to Hitman: Absolution coming out in a couple weeks and Far Cry 3 coming out in December.

And I also read an article (can't link to it because I'm at work) that said GTA V, which is coming out next spring, will have 3 main characters. There's a new trailer for it coming out tomorrow too.

I'm playing AC3 right now as well. I was a little irritated with how long it took for the game to become open world. You're literally halfway through the story mode.

I was thinking about picking up Dishonored at some point as well, since I've heard good things about that too.

I have tried it, not my thing. But I wouldn't be against giving it another go. I'll probably wait for the price to drop on H4.

Yeah wait for the price to drop and bugs are out. I have never played the campaign just multiplayer. Just know the learning curve is steeper on Halo then COD.

Are you ready for Bioshock 2? I got it if you want it.

Think I'm just going to wait for Bioshock Infinite. Thanks though. I've been keeping busy with Madden 13 and Black Ops II will probably suck up most of my gaming time.

Far Cry 3. I can't say enough good things about this game. My only complaint is I never have enough time to play it during the week.

I played Far Cry 2 a couple years ago, and I thought it was okay despite the lack of fast travel points, the constantly respawning enemy checkpoints (making travel much longer) the annoying malaria that kicked in the middle of the gunfights and your gun constantly jamming due to wear and tear.

The good news is that Far Cry 3 has none of that. In fact, there isn't a single thing about Far Cry 3 that really annoys me so far, and I'm about halfway through the game. There's so much to do too, and it constantly keeps you on your toes because of the pirates and the wildlife that will attack you if you're not in a vehicle. And with fast travel spots all over the map, if you don't want to drive a long ways to a mission site or something it makes it super quick getting there.

Long story short, Far Cry 3 lives up to the hype, for me personally.

I just started it, according to Steam I've played it for a grand total of 2 or 3 hours, and most of it was me just leaving it on and replaying the opening a couple of times trying to calibrate the graphics. I thought this year was a decent year for gaming, at least it was personally. I started off with Skyrim, and that was ok for a while, at least when I had time to play. Then Madden came out and that occupied me for a little while, but tbh the bulk of the time that I play Madden is during the NFL offseason. This fall was excellent for me, first I bought Assassins Creed 3, which was good, then I bought Hitman, which I loved, and then I bought Far Cry 3, which I am really enjoying as well. I'm looking forward to next year too, although the only game I'm planning on buying next year is GTA V (awesome trailer D-Rave).

Steam sale was ridiculous this past week. Kept buying games I didn't need. LA Noire, Farcry 2, Doom 3, GTA 4, GTA 4 DLC, Left4Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, The Witcher, The Witcher 2, Assasins Creed 2, None of which was more then $5 save ones that were bundled $7.99. Lol I'm not going to play half of those games.

I know but I spent a lot of time in early 2012 playing it. If you're just talking about games released in '12 then you're right lol.

I've been playing FC3 for a few days now, I like it but I can see what you're saying as far as the time commitment. The other day I was playing and all I was doing was hunting and crafting, and before I knew it an hour and a half wizzed by. I've gotta get back to the missions. Plus I get distracted just f'ing with the pirates. Fun game.

I think Walking Dead won the VGA award for GOTY. A testement to its greatness as well as the weak year that was 2012. I mean it's great to see an underdog win it but at the same time it has to be an indictment against the weak competition.

Mass Effect 3 should have easily been the top game in 2012 and they blew it with the crappy ending, that's now okay but no where near where it should be (there are other issues too but the ending is the one that sticks out the most). I can't help but laugh at how I kept telling myself before the games release "theres no way anyone could screw up a Mass Effect game."

Either way I was happy to see the Walking Dead get some recognition as it's a great game. Speaking of which I need to get back into it as I'm still stuck in Macon. lol.

Yeah same here. I like the game but I find I only really play it when I'm totally bored with everything else. It's just not a go to game for me.
