I'd rather not give up Orakpo. At this point I would just wait the first two picks out and if/when RGIII survives that send our 2nd rounder, 4th rounder and 2013 2nd to Minnesota if they accept that. If we have to pick at 6 take Blackmon/Claiborne/Richardson and move on.

It sucks but it really could be the best thing. Imagine how horrible we would feel if something happened to peyton on the field and he was carted off, maybe to never walk again....

The reality is that he will be very fragile if he steps back on that field, Peyton has been through hell the last year with all the surgeries and the pain and all the injections and all that. I can't beleive he would try to come back knowing everything that is at risk.

He has a life there in Indy. I guarantee you if he told Isray that he wanted to stick around as a coach or a coordinator, he would have a job there for the rest of his life.

It might be the best for his health....

I don't take away the feeling of Irsay trying to get Peyton to retire. Unlike this current topic on this thread, it seems to me that the writing is on the wall in Indy and Peyton is no longer in the Colt's plan.

He hired a defensive minded coach (who btw would probably would have loved to work with PM), fired the trainer he was working with, fired the GM who built the team, fired the head coach who was one of the last parts of the Dungy guard, and signed him to a deal a year ago that looked huge at the time but could be torn up after a year with out any repercussions. Seems to me the writing is on the wall that he is set to be released.

It also seems to me that the Colts had a good idea that PM was injured worse then they let on to the media and that they don't see him being able to return to the football field.

There is only one trade that I would make that would involve the Rams. I would not have a problem with trading Orakpo for Bradford. However Orakpo has lived up to being a 1st round pick and Bradford has not so to make it even for me I'd want maybe a second or third round draft pick of theirs added to the trade. This gives us a decent QB and we get to keep our picks and it reunites Orakpo with GW and puts him back in a 4-3 which he's more suited for.

I don't believe Orakpo ever played for Williams before, it was Blache.

I'm all for keeping Rak and TW.

But on the other hand, Rak has not developed the variety of moves which mark elite pass rushers. And TW is one strike away from disaster.

Still there is no reason to just give away young talent. Maybe...maybe you can trade Orakpo, but then you go back to square one in terms of your pass rush b/c now teams will just focus on Kerrigan. Despite his off field issues, TW is our best lineman, and we would go back to having a huge question mark in the most important position on the line.

At this point, let's hope BA can figure out a trade without dealing any of our guys. Our team does not have much talent, and it would be stupid to get rid of the few talented players we have and cause other holes to fill.
