Re: Around the NFL Off - Season style.
If someone else chooses to start a new thread that's ok.
The Washington Times is reporting that Democrates in congress have presented a bill or passed a bill that will basically force the Redskins to change their team name. Wonderfull. In the event they have to I think the team should retire the whole kit and kaboodle. We have the Wash Caps (red, white, and blue), the Wash Nats (red, white, and blue), and we have the Wash Wiz (red, white, and blue). I thin DS should purchase the Wash Federals name and change the colors to red, white, and blue. |

Re: Around the NFL Off - Season style.
This Administration hasn't even signed a budget yet...we're in year 5!
You expect them to actually work on something important? Ha. This liberal "don't offend anyone" mentality is not only going after the Redskins, but the whole sport of football is going to be changed by this way of thinking...it has already started with all of the rules to water down the "violence" of the game. They're always trying experiments to cater to foreign countries and minority groups (games in Mexico, Canada, England...) If a team ever does sign a female kicker...look out...the game will never be the same again. Rules will be changed that will ruin the sport. Enjoy football while you can...it won't be real football for much longer. |

The Orioles attendence has been horrible the last couple of years due to the bad play of the team, and even last year during the playoff push the stadium was hardly ever full. To me it would seem to be good business for the O's to move the game and allow fans of both teams to attend both events. It would be a celebration of Baltimore sports and I am sure would boost the attendance of the baseball game. Fans would love it much like was done a few years ago in Philly when multiple fans attended the Eagles game in the afternoon and took their rowdiness down the street to watch the Phillies play in the WS. I had more than a few family members and friends make that double header and had a blast. (BTW having grown up in the 80's in the DMV the O's were and still are my baseball team) |
Re: Around the NFL Off - Season style.
When is Ramadan? If we ever play on that day, I bet the cheerleaders will be locked out of the stadium!
Soon, feminists will probably get cheerleaders banned by law because it makes out-of-shape women feel "sad". We're already removing honor rolls in some schools because it hurts the feelings of the kids who don't work hard enough. I'm surprised we still keep score. 2016 playoff seeding: EVERYONE is invited! Next year's combine...instead of 40-yard dash (offends the handicapped) and bench press (players setting off too many Lunk Alarms at Planet Fitness and fat people are getting offended), the players will compete in a Round Robin Chess Tournament to prove that they can learn playbook and game strategy. |

NOT an O's fan saying this either, but the Yankees and Red Sox will both be bad this season...the Blue Jays always are and the Rays will be the only real AL East competition for Baltimore. I think they should stick to their schedule. Seriously, why can't they play on Rosh Hosana? Are there that many Jewish players? Even so, they're made to play on Christian holidays... |
Re: Around the NFL Off - Season style.
I honeslty don't even understand the Jewish Holiday being a reason to not play the game on Wednesday.
I am not insensitive to the Jewish religious holidays, but like others have said the league plays football on more than one Christian Holiday so whats the big deal. They play games on the Sabbath during the playoffs so its not like the league has a problem with not observing religious practices. |

Also Sept is usually booked with make up days due to early season rain delays. |

Can't even get the Dems to work on a budget but they can throw $$$$ at Pakistan to help their kids get college degrees, throw $$$$ in military equipement to Egypt but force our military to cut their budget, give themselves a raise and force all other Federal workers to be furloughed, they give money to profitable colleges for stupid studies like the study of duck penises and want to tax Americans more so they can spend more. I grew up a proud Democrat, I'm now a proud Independant voter always looking for who the best candidate is. Unfortunatly the Dems are forcing me to lean heavily toward the Republicans. |

All thanks to Goodell wanting to put his mark on it. I like Football and Hockey simply because of the violence. -The NFL needs to worry when players stop playing cause their afraid of injuries. Funny it's the NFL making all these changes but I have not heard one player on tv or radio talking about how we need new rules to protect players. -I don't have a problem with a female kicker as long as they can get it between the goal posts. QB's and Kickers are supposed to be protected from hits anyway. |

It does not make it right but we probably are not hearing how the 17 y/o is as big as dad and has been bucking up to dad over several months now and not following the rules of the house or listening to his parents. Now all of a sudden dad puts son in his place and dad is an abuser. sweet. |

If the son feels the need to encourage physical altercations with his old man I am guessing there is an error in parenting somewhere along the line. I also know mom passed away so maybe some unresolved emotional issues there. |
