Re: the all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread sponsored by Paintrain
Does anyone know if NFL Network is doing weeks devoted to every team or is it only for teams deemed dynasties (even though the skins won 3 Super Bowls withing 10 years)? I know I for one won't be watching a second of their coverage next week during Dallas week. Just the thought of it makes me want to throw up a bit.
True, but that can be a double-edged sword. You gotta wonder why the Pigeons let him go at all and just walk away at that.
BTW That gang ties story IMO is just spin. I think that DJax was such a di&k for so long, Kelly couldn't take him any more. If so, why would DJax be different wherever he goes?
Either the Kelly and Laurie are tired of his crap or he's done something really bad that they're not telling us. When you add his salary and his inability to do anything but make 1 big play then disappear (true #1's can make huge plays and still be relevant afterwards) to either of his character issues, no thanks. Besides multiple teams will be interested in him so he'll be out of our price range. |

This is pretty funny. Wonder if this was an "accident" or if it was really an accident. |
Re: the all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread sponsored by Paintrain
The Media is a joke . If the Pats ,Broncos, 49ers or Seahawks signed D-Jax it would have been called a great move. However since it was the Racist Redskins and Dan Synder we were bedding against ourselves . We overlooked his character and him being a locker room cancer . I did not know how many Redskins Haters are out in the media.
I guess since we were 3-13 we should not try to improve our roster by signing a proving playmaker. Oh wait should we take a flyer with our 2nd Rd pick on a WR and hope he becomes a pro bowl player. I think this was smart and calculated by our front office. The players wanted D-Jax more then we the fans did. None of us know how this we play out but I give credit to the Redskins for trying to be a better team . Synder has a ton of cash but he doesn't just sit on his hands and not pay to put a better product on the field. I love being a Redskins fan since 1972 and will always be one. HTTR |
I have heard nothing but praise for this move save a couple of no name columnists trying to be different and drum up a name for themselves.

Just heard on the radio that Colt McCoy is at Redskin's park? Wonder what that's all about...

Bucs WR Mike Williams is facing a lawsuit stemming from a kitchen fire in a home he rented last summer.
It's nothing serious, but Williams' name is in the news yet again for an off-field issue. The lawsuit alleges that he "negligently caused a fire while using the stove-top range," causing "heat, smoke and fire damage." The suit is seeking $54,453 plus interest and court costs. Mike Williams is having a Hall of Fame offseason. Really impressed |

I love this move as well. Of course, that could be because I'm a UT fan. :D This probably means the end of Sexy Rexy. Or have the Redskins received a 2nd round offer for Cousins? We can hope, can't we? |

Well, he's a Free Agent, but before we signed McCoy, I expected him to be back...at least for camp. I think RG3 likes Grossman around. |

^ Jets probably snag him.

I think if we pushed for Sproles, we could inquire about CJ. I expect a really small, one year deal, incentive laced

Yeah, Jets are the most likely destination. Seeing the Giants and Cowboys also expressed interest. I'd hate to see him in NY..not worried about Dallas. |

vet min and a promise that he can be our #2 back. why wouldn't he come here? i mean, we've got desean jackson now.
Vet min?
Vet minimum? Absolutely! This is the guy that ran for 2,000 yards in 2009 and has never rushed for less than 1,000; on top of that, he's a great receiver out of the backfield. If he would actually be willing to take vet min, that's a no-brainer. |

Re: the all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread sponsored by Paintrain
chip kelly is an idiot. what's his name in denver traded cutler and marshall back to back... and it got him fired.
that said, we don't have the cap space for mathis, and he's 32 and wanting a new contract (worth more than the 5mill/per he'd be getting this year). |

On a related note the Chip Kelly Kool Aid is loosing it's effect here in Philly. There are definitely those that are still on the train but it's loosing passengers fast. |

Saw this, and this is probably common, but does this mean Vernon D. has $$$ problems selling 10% of your gross earnings for 4 million dollars. It could be a win win situation. |

Re: the all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread sponsored by Paintrain
I am three predictions right now. Just from watching the offseson workouts on redskins.com. LeRibeus, will push for starting job(looked in great shape and if the guy that looked like Murice Hurt, was Murice Hurt. He will be cut, before camp. Hurt looked like he was bout 400lb. Also, Keenan Robinson looked jacked up, and will start.
|
Re: the all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread sponsored by Paintrain
Didn't see Hurt but yes on the other two. One of my own RGIII looks like he has good lateral movement.
