We've been screened to death all year

[QUOTE=skinsfaninok;1211187]This team Quit when Alex went down, I said it that moment. I knew we were done. It's a shame but we should expect this now, I told all of u that we had no chance at making the playoffs that day. I know we all want to wish and hope but fuck that, this organization sucks balls. I haven't bought anything Redskins in well over a year (Oct of last yr against Dallas) . I'm not waisting money on their apperal, tickets etc anymore. I'll watch as a fan of football but losing doesn't bother me like it did in years past. I thought 8-8 would be a good season and we won't even get to 7 wins. Top 10 pick once again and we have no QB of the future once again.

Nah. They were on the downswing already when Smith went down. Alex Smith isn’t changing the results of this game or the Cowboys game. Houston game he was getting punked before he went down. Game before that Tampa handed us on a silver platter. Before that? Thumped by Atlanta. Team has been trending down for 5 weeks and Smith was there for the majority of it.

Keep: Tress Way, Ioannidis, Trent, Scherff, Guice

Get Rid: Every other fucking person in the organization. I want new people, from janitors at Deadskins Park to Bruce Fuckface Allen.

My issue also lies with the defense. I can understand the offense struggling with the multitude of injuries throughout that side of the ball, and playing with a 3rd string QB.

But the defense has really ticked me off. The opposition have relentlessly taken advantage of Mason Foster's lack of speed and lack of ability to diagnose, and taken advantage of Zach Brown's poor or slow reaction to diagnose and get to the ball when it's thrown (Brown is one of the fastest LBs in the league, but his awareness isn't quite there).

The opposition has also attacked our edges in the running game. Targeting Smith and Kerrigan. Payne has also been a mixed bag during the past 5 weeks, if not longer. Add that in, along with, what I'd consider to be an average DC in Manusky, and this is what you have with this defense.

The offense is gonna be handcuffed (it's not like they were setting the world on fire from the jumpstreet) more so than it was previously, and the offense can't count on the defense to put them in the best situation as they've fallen flat since the Falcons game.

Season is over.

Maybe but when you have a good QB you don't trade him. Even if they did you're getting draft picks for a team that doesn't draft well.

What's good to have a good QB that doesn't want to play for the team? There has been several good QBs in the past two class. It would have been way better than being in the situation that we are in.

So much for Copper as our future LG, the guy is injury prone:

from Keim:
Jay Gruden said he believes Jonathan Cooper tore his bicep tendon. Done for the year.

I can't believe Colt broke his leg. I feel so bad for him. He makes a nice living but fuck if he just has no luck at all when it comes to football. Didn't even make it 3 games. Poor bastard.

When Mark Sanchez goes down next week, I'll call them The Mandelbaums.

I sincerely feel bad for Colt and the Skins but on a good note the Giants are the worst team in NFL history against back up QB's. (no joke)

Can he play defense, and call a good game too? Who really cares at this point. Season is over and it isn’t even because of who our quarterback is. It is because we have zero talent on defense, and a shit for brains coach.

I watched a good deal of the game and when Colt went out you could sense the air go out of all the Skins coach's and players . You still have a shot ,just get in and it's a new season.

Sanchez came into an incredibly difficult situation and actually appeared serviceable going like 6-8 and seemed somewhat composed considering. I gave up when Idiot Gruden called that gadget play. I mean all he had to do was throw to the tight ends and hand the ball off. Quick screens. Etc. Jay panicked worse than Sanchez. He needs to be fucking fired two years ago.

Well for comparison, Mcarthy won a Super Bowl and went to the post season in 9 of 11 seasons. And he got fired

Grudens resume is 1 post season appearance in 5 years.

It is a better plan than anything I've heard.

Not sold on Garret either. I have always wanted the Cowboys to do whatever is necessary to get Sean Payton out of NOLA and back to Dallas.

But in Garrets defense, I will say that he is a better coach than Jay Gruden. Head to head, since Gruden was hired, he is 3-7 in that time frame versus Dallas. And 2018 was the first time in his tenure that Washington defeated Dallas at FedEx. Grudens winning percentage in Washington is .454 (34-41). And he has never posted double-digit wins in any season he has coached.

Garrets resume is nothing to brag about. But in the same time span of the last five years, Garret has a .592 winning percentage (45-31), made the playoffs twice in the last 5 years. But only 1 post season win as we all know.
