Re: Portis is a BIG problem!!!
No, I understood that. If it's really Clinton Portis, which I'm starting to believe it is, who knows why he would say something like that. Maybe he can answer for it after he reveals his identity.
Youre starting to convince me....Im mean who else could honestly say Portis is a top 5 back except for Portis? |
Re: Portis is a BIG problem!!!
I checked his post history. He joined in April 2009 after being "invited" by a member of this site, but that person doesn't post here anymore....hmmmm
Next, in his about me section, there is a link to the N.O. Saints Message board and Team Shop....very strange. Lastly, almost all of the threads he's posted in has him making a statement about how blacks are surperior athletes and generally better...also white people are "just slower". Humorously he was arguing with another poster early in the year about whether to start himself (Portis) in his fantasy league...and also that he needed "insider" information about Portis' injury status lol |
Re: Portis is a BIG problem!!!
Are you saying Portis doesn't get preferential treatment? What other player on the team could never practice and still start every game he is healthy? What other player could refuse to play in the preseason and still start? Marko Mitchell couldnt, Marcus Mason couldnt... He has a huge contract so of course he gets preferential treatment...most stars (or alleged stars) do to some extent.
Earned his starting position? I would argue the exact opposite. Betts has earned the starting position by being there week in week out practicing with the starting unit. A couple of redskin coaches seem to agree as well.
Betts has had two good games. Come on, I mean really. Betts fumbles too much. I don't forget stuff like that. Portis is clearly better than Betts, it's not hard to see. You want to punish Portis and reward Betts for practice, then when he fumbles the damn game away again then what? When he can't make one measely yard at the goal line. How many of yall remember that from last year? (against the Giants to win the game). Everyone criticized that move wondering why Portis was on the bench? You act like they been hiding Betts on the bench. Portis has not been explosive in the 8 games he has appeared in this year, but still had a 78 yrard run. If Betts received that hand off it would have been a good 10 to 15 yards. He would have run Sellers over and might have fumbled. I know how Betts runs. |
Re: Portis is a BIG problem!!!
We tried Betts before, I give him credit, he has had a couple good games. But we have saw this movie before. It ends with Tampa Bay winning the game because Betts fumbled on his only carry. A carry with no other purpose than to run out the clock. No one's cow towing to Portis by letting him start. He has earned his starting position. You not making sense. You seem to think Betts has not been the starter because of preferential treatment for Portis? Betts fumbled his behind to the bench, and you know it.
HMMM, I remember watching a game not to long ago with Portis on the ground and the ball in the other teams hands as they score the winning points. |

Exactly, why the f*ck would a Saints fan come here being so vehement about Portis being a top five back? Why not say, he's done and broken down. Or yeah, he had some good years in D.C., but you guys are being kind of hard on him. That's a case you make for yourself. |

lol why would he come to the Warpath? Don't you think Portis' first stop would've been ExtremeSkins since they kiss Redskin ass so much over there? If he wanted to stroke his own ego, that would've been the perfect place. |

If you read that interview from '04, he was into video games at the time and always boasted about how good he was in the game and how he was the only person he could stop Clinton Portis. But the kicker was when he said, "gotta love those Saints". |

Not like CP has not been stopped at the one or short for a short FD like 20 times this year. |

That's exactly why he didn't go to ExtremeSkins. He knows that shit is censored and he wouldn't get the real deal over there. I mean if Cooley's brother comes here making his case, it's not out of the question that Clinton Portis would too. |

(Or at least a closeted racist) 3) He is his own biggest fan. 4) He thinks he's one of the top 5 RBs in the league currently 5) His poor running is due to the O-Line and Sellers. I'm sold!! :smashfrea |

The problem is he's remembering too much for his own good. Even a blind man could see Betts has been much quicker to the hole than Portis this season. I like CP, I really do but if Betts is flying around the way he is and Portis isnt, there is no question who's better. |

What's that suppose to mean, "insider" information. And who leaves a thread using the word "address"? That's sounds official, almost like you're talking to your critics or the press is beating up on you. Address? Who talks like that. C'mon, man. |
