^^is the speech. While I agree he made a poor choice in words with the "you didn't build it", his point was (you'd know if you listened to it) that you didn't get successful without help. That help comes from many forms and factors well beyond your control.

I dont see a problem with people wanting Romney to release his tax returns, all im saying is its probably better for Romney to not release his returns.

1) Just like knowing how much your girlfriend weighs the tax issue is [COLOR=black][FONT=Verdana]inconsequential [/FONT][/COLOR]to people who already like Romney. Just like the idiots that wanted Obama to show this and that the people who really want to see Mitt's taxes are moreso the people who arnt voting for him regardless.

2) He saw what happened to Obama in 2008. We all know if you give a mouse a cookie, hes gonna ask for a glass of milk. Releaseing his taxes wont [COLOR=black][FONT=Verdana]satisfy [/FONT][/COLOR]the mice that are asking for them any more than the mice who realized they wanted a glass of milk after seeing XYZ documentation from Obama.

If it was a year ago, 6 months ago, maybe even 3 months ago i would say show them your returns. At this point in the game i think it serves as just too much of a detraction for him to reveal them. Mitt doesnt file e-file a 1040EZ, his entire return is hundereds maybe even a thousand pages long. And 10 years of returns to nitpick through will just open more questions. Whats this K1, we want to its tax return too. Whats this trust income we want to see its tax return too. And so on.

3) A big problem many people have with Mitt is that hes wishy washy. He's waaayyyy too nice, has no backbone, and never gets mad. At first he was saying "i think" ive released enough in the nice guy Mitt kind of way. Nows hes being a little more adament. If he backtracks from this its just another thing he backtracks from. He needs to hold his ground.

My thoughts are i dont really care if Mitt shows additonal tax returns or not as its [COLOR=black][FONT=Verdana]inconsequential [/FONT][/COLOR]to his policy. But i dont really care one way or another. My thoughts are more along the lines of if i were in Mitt's billion dollar business man's loafers i wouldnt show my tax returns because its gonna hurt more than its gonna help.

If you were to ask me should Romney release his tax returns for the good of the counrty? My reasoning might be a little different, but[I] if [/I]i thought Mitt was better for the country than Obama my answear would be the same. Unfortunitly this is just one of the thigns we get with our current 2 party system. Political jestering in many cases is more important than policy.

That's because the news never made a big deal about them 4 yrs ago and swept anything bad against Obama under the rug. If the news dropped Romney's tax returns people would forget about them by tomorrow. BTW where did you get that list of Rep. calling for his tax returns.

If he had no qualms about giving 10 years worth of tax returns to McCain for VP consideration, why does he care now? Ever think that was a huge reason McCain didn't choose him? He's flat out said that Palin was a better running mate than Romney. Not sure you can get lower than that. :laughing-

I guarantee you know more about Barack Obama than you do Mitt Romney.

Dude, it's the news calling for his returns, his own party is calling for them. I follow all of those people either on twitter or some other medium and they've called for Romney to release his tax returns.

I heard Nancy Pelosi say on Friday that the tax returns are no longer an issue and should be considered a petty distraction.




Why the huge change of opinion? Someone asked to see hers.


I wish he'd release them. We'd see how he gives about a third of his money to charity so we could contrast with the $600 [U]total[/U] that Joe Biden gave...probably similar from the President and Speaker of the House.

No she didn't say that. What she said was asking for hers during her presser was a petty distraction from pressing Romney to release his.

She went on to say if she runs for president (which of course she won't), she'd be happy to oblige by releasing her tax returns.

Yes the liberal news is calling for them Iand I have not heard any Replublicans call for his tax returns (not saying they have not). Only saw your list. I'm not fan of Romney but Obama is worse.
