List of players the WFT has either met, or is scheduled to meet with virtually:
Christian Darrisaw, OT Tommy Tremble, TE Brevin Jordan, TE Ihmir Smith-Marsette, WR Rondale Moore, WR Mike Strachan, WR Kadarius Toney, WR Dax Milne, WR Asante Samuel Jr., CB Trill Williams, CB Greg Newsome, CB Darius Stills, DT
Very surprised no LB is on this list |

I'm not. Without taking a look at the numbers, I'm gonna guess out of every draft class we have every year only 1-2 of them actually interview with the team. I think these are guys Ron is just doing DD on, guys he doesn't expect to be available, guys he expects to play in the NFL, and maybe a couple of them he thinks he might have a shot at drafting. I'd still put money on us drafting at least one LB. Maybe Ron doesn't want to tip his hand on the one he likes though. |
Re: Pre Draft Thread 2.0
Yeah, my bet is they will still draft a couple LBs. The interviews don't tell the whole story, but I do think in some cases they would be more valuable this year with the limited contact they can have with prospects.
I'm quite sure they will draft players they don't interview though. |
Re: Pre Draft Thread 2.0
That is by far not an exhaustive list.... if that is how many guys they have actually talked to given how many opportunities the NFL give them then it would be a huge front office failure..... The sites who publish these lists don't hear about every contact, they generally note when players mention it, as the teams aren't routinely giving out that information other than to blow smoke

No, I'm sure it is not. It's just what has been reported, just like all the other news. |
Re: Pre Draft Thread 2.0
At this time close to the draft, we should take all types of reports with a grain of salt, there are way too many smokescreens and "could happen" turning into "will happen" reports to determine what the team's plans are.

Re: Pre Draft Thread 2.0
I like this draft ...
https://riggosrag.com/2021/04/21/washington-football-team-mock-draft-lower-round-trades/ 1 - JOK, LB, Notre Dame 2 - Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, USC 3 - trade back .... move down, pick up 2 fourth round picks .. - Andre Cisco, S, Syracuse - Walker "Isn't" Little, LT, Stanford 4 - Hunter Long, TE, Boston College - Dylan Moses, LB, Alabama - Rhamondre Stevenson, RB, Oklahoma 5 - Sadarius Hutcherson, OG, South Carolina 6 - trade up ... both 7th rounders to get in 6th - Justin Hilliard, LB, Ohio State 3 solid Linebackers 1 huge Tackle 1 very good WR 1 highly touted TE 1 safety with high ceiling Feels like a reach at RB, with a bunch who should be available. But maybe he'll be excellent. Low risk versatile OLineman. This would be a pretty good draft. |
Re: Pre Draft Thread 2.0
My gut tells me we will stay put at 19 and draft a LB but I know they really love Lance, if he falls past 7 or 8 I could see a legit offer made.

Didn't get an A+ in the 2nd round. You're better than that. |
Re: Pre Draft Thread 2.0
OSU QB Justin Fields has confirmed to NFL teams during the pre-draft process that he is managing epilepsy – a neurological disorder that can cause seizures, per me and
@TomPelissero . It has not affected football & doctors believe he’ll outgrow it as his other family members have. |
