No, D. Jackson and Hall both were excused. There might be a few more. |

So DJax already skipping team functions. Probably hanging with his homies and running guns & drugs. I bet we see pics of him flashing gang signs while showing off his 9mm. |

Meanwhile Griffin's too busy making new logos for himself, can't be really dedicated. |

He's right, players don't care about silly drama like logos or someone missing voluntary workouts. It's stuff for the media and fans to get all riled up about. |
Re: the all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread sponsored by Paintrain
Clark is a veteran and is there to be a leader. He's supposed to say these things, and calm down the media frenzy. If he didn't like the logo or DJax's absence, he should NOT talk about it with us.
What was concerning last year is that everyone seemed to stir UP controversy when a mike was placed in front of them. RG3 seemed to always say the *wrong* thing, to initiate controversies. Hope he learns from Clark on media mgmt. |
Re: the all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread sponsored by Paintrain
If they win the division, none of this matters.
If they win the division, none of this matters.
But if we don't, I can already see all the stupid in headlines and on rival boards. Loads of crap about how the "same old Skins" went after "the big splash signing" and it "blew up in Snyder's face, once again." Or how the "coach killer"( boy emperor, if you prefer:silly: )exercised his control over Snyder so the Redskins would sign a new WR for him, even though Gruden didn't want Jackson, and now the Redskins are in a bind because the defense is still bad and they have no money to improve it because of RG3's influence, and now Gruden is in a tough spot because he has to try to win with an "uncoachable" QB and a terrible defense, and... you get the drift. Unless we win the division this year, it's going to be a painful offseason once again. |
I dont think anyone can say the DJax signing was a result of a poor season if we have one. I dont think anyone will UNLESS he does something terribly stupid ie - in trouble with the law. The signing itself was a smart one economically.

like the articles have been saying, RG3 as an adidas sponsor had to come out with a logo just like dwight howard et al
i think the logo is very clever graffiti wise |

I like stuff like this
In Washington you can't expect new coach Jay Gruden to get Jackson back to his career-high numbers of 82 catches and 1,332 yards he had with Chip Kelly and the Eagles last season.
Why? Wasn't Kelly a rookie HC last year too?? Maybe he doesn't reach those numbers but to think he can't post very productive numbers here is just crazy. |
Re: the all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread sponsored by Paintrain
Dallas does have a good group no doubt, but they are banking on T Williams to be a big time player and idk if he's really capable of that

Maybe he doesn't reach those numbers but to think he can't post very productive numbers here is just crazy.
Yeah, he won't put up 82-1332-9, because Kelly's offense makes players look better than they really are(Foles), but to think he can't put up good numbers is crazy. 65-1000-5 is very realistic. Also, not sure how Mr. Watkins came to the conclusion that Dallas' receiver corps is better than ours. He wrote that, "Bryant and Williams are an emerging force that's going to be difficult to stop on a consistent basis within the division." Fair enough, but Garcon is a great receiver too, even if not as good as Bryant, and DeSean Jackson is far better than Williams. And as of right now, the WRs behind Garcon/Jackson are much, much better than those behind Bryant/Williams. His only argument that "proved" that Dallas' corps is better was when he listed Bryant's stats against Philly versus Jackson's stats against Dallas. Dafuq? Another of his rationales: "Terrance Williams, as a rookie, had a four-game stretch with at least one receiving touchdown and his speed makes him a big-play threat." Did he forget to mention that we have the guy who is possibly the best deep threat in the game? The thinking behind that article is lacking a bit, to say the least. |

Re: the all encompassing 'discuss all things offseason' thread sponsored by Paintrain
Comparing a second year talent with Dez Bryant to Garcon and Jackson doesn't really add up for me. I would take our two over those two any day.

The smart money is to bet against the Redskins in situations like this. Therefore the Redskins don't have the best anything until they prove it on the field and I'm perfectly fine with that in all honesty.

Keeping the honesty theme going, cowboys have the biggest choker at qb in the history of the league. |
