Why go backwards? Draft a young guy and build from it.
I didn't mean have him has the QB of the future - but he has shown through his career that he has been able to bridge the gap between the present, and until the future QB is ready. He would be a solid and dependable until your new guy is ready... |
One guy who has always been good is Matt Hasselbeck. Isn't he a free agent this year? Don't laugh at me but I know he is going to turn 40 this year but he hasn't had major injury and when you said a FA Bridge QB, I immediately thought of him. He has played very well filling in for Andrew Luck and i bet he could do a fine job starting one season, or as needed. Having my doubts if KC is the long term answer but either way i think he is in the mix next year...
Seriously, I honestly think that he my be the best option. |
Personally, I think that's been the plan all along. I bet we'll be on the market for a FA bridge QB this offseason too.
KC will be the QB next year, he is the bridge QB. We will most likely draft a QB. Unfortunately next year is a weak QB class. Unless we trade for a veteran QB like Matt Stafford, KC will return as the starter. |
Re: Redskins v. Jets Gameday Thread
Qbs I'd take over KC
Not counting the elite guys (brady rodgers) Big Ben Romo Eli Peyton Rivers Ryan Flacco Russ Cam Kaep (yes even him) Foles Bridgewater Stafford Cutler Tannehill Bradford Dalton Bortles Luck Brees Carr Mariota Anyone argue that? |

The guy is 40. He'll be 41 next year. If he wants to be a backup, or a 3rd string, fine. But someone that age has no reason being around a football as a 16 game starter, i.e. Peyton Manning this season. He's just lucky he has an all star defense and a ton of weapons around him. Any other team with how he's played so far this season and he wouldn't be starting. |

Foles - no Bridgewater - maybe Stafford yes Cutler - no Tannehill - no Bradford - no Dalton - yes Bortles - no Luck - yes Brees - no end of career Carr -to early to tell Mariota - no |

Just saying that if someone wants Matt Hasselbeck, in my opinion Colt McCoy is at least just as good and is already on the Redskins roster. |

I would agree. |
Re: Redskins v. Jets Gameday Thread
Does anybody know if you a QB can increase their accuracy?
|
Re: Redskins v. Jets Gameday Thread
I think you can Omaha. There are changes to throws, foot placement etc and those little changes add up to big changes. British cyclists applied these aggregate changes to have one of the most successful 365 days in the history of cycling including tour de france winner and Olympic gold medals.

A Shanny, Cooley, and Gruden would make you think Kirk can do it. It's time for SM to be looking for the next head coach and qb. And a leader, let Gruden and whomever he wants to qb play out the season. I said before the season this will crack as a coach b/c of the leadership issues. Just wait, the rumors and comments will start very soon around Redskins park. |
Re: Redskins v. Jets Gameday Thread
What is Gruden suppose to do? He can't wave a majic wan and get all his players healthy. We are short on talent with everyone healthy. When players start going down like flies it's going to hurt us more. We were competitive for a good part of the game. We all need to remember that this is still a rebuild. The team sucks because of moves that were made BEFORE Gruden got here. We need to stay the course, hopefully get some guys back and win a few games, starting next week.
