That sucks, I have never had a pet that ill before.
Thanks guys. He's not that bad off yet and he gets around pretty well. He seems alert and happy, but he keeps getting random stuff popping up (tumors, warts, ear infections, vision getting worse). Of course all this stuff is pretty common with cocker spaniels. He's 12 and on the decline. I'm prepared for whatever happens. You have to have that mindset when you own a pet. You only have them for a short time.

I do know I will never have another cocker spaniel. They just have too many issues that are inherent to the breed.

I once had a Boxer who had some issues, but not to that extent.

Nice to see that we didn't upset you, but seriously, you could have used one post to respond to us both.

I'm just giving you a hard time so don't get your bananna hammock in a bunch.

So, I will open up this thread by saying that my wife is probably going into labor tonight or tommorrow morning. She lost he mucus plug earlier today, once the water breaks its on!

Congrats angry! I guess that rules out shooting pool and drinking beer this weekend. Good luck. You've been through it before, but this is your 1st baby boy, so I'm sure you're stoked. Great stuff. Again, congrats and my best to you and your wife. Keep us updated!

PS- I'm not married yet, and have no children. Do I want to know what a "mucus plug" is??

No, No, dont get ahead of yourself, I am not going to spend every waking minuite in the hospital. This isnt my first time to the prom. As long as she is not actually in labor on Saturday night we can still do the damn thing. I have more than enough family here to compensate for my absence for a
few hours.

Think of a uterus as the kitchen sink, pull the plug and the water drains.

Sounds good, because I am off tommorrow anyway after my shift ends in the morning. Best time to get a hold of me is after 4PM. I usually am sleeping until then.

You're not at the hospital waiting for the little one to arrive?

No, because she isnt there yet. We have this down to a science. After 4 false labors with the first child we learned our lesson. We live right down a back street from the Hospital and my work is in between here and there. My mother in Law will get her there when it is time. I will receive a phone call when they are leaving. I will then call my boss, take off and meet them there.

LOL, that's a good name. Not too over used, yet still has a uniqueness to it. Solid name.

It's not as good as Joel, but hey you can't be perfect. :D

Nice...now raise him to be a football star, and that is a sweet nickname for a football star! (of course it would be sweet if he played for the skins, any other team, well, I hope he's their kicker! ;)
