I plan on getting it, I'm just going to wait for the price to drop. |
Anyone playing Dead Space 3 yet?
I plan on getting it, I'm just going to wait for the price to drop.
Already started my 2nd play through, beat the first one 7 times and the second 3 times. It's no where near as scary as its predecessors, but the story has more depth to it to flesh out the trilogy. Also some new additions like the weapon bench and the semi free roam availability with optional missions really do a nice job of adding to the expirience. |
re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
Just finished up Uncharted 3 last night.
Man if you have not played that series you are really missing out on a treat. |

I can't help but feel the PS4 announcement was kinda meh. Nothing groundbreaking or overly innovative.

I totally felt the same. did you watch the video? He could barely get a clap for the new controller. Plus every new game said it be built for PS4 and PS3. I love my Ps3 for everything but gaming. Only games i have really played on PS3 is Uncharted. hopefully the 720 is more ground breaking. To be honest it will be along time before i can get either. with two kids a new house and just life in generally a new console is not in the budget. |

Weird. Sony seems to have lost their edge. Not sure this new console is going to help them get it back. Can't wait to hear how much the new gen games are going to be. $70? |

Re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
None of the new PS4 games really looks that good, except for Watch Dogs. I ain't gonna lie, I'm gonna be all over that one. But I think it will be available for current gen consoles too so I'm going to have to debate whether it's really worth getting a PS4 for, especially considering my money is tight and I'd have to save months in advance just to buy a new console. Honestly I'm not really feeling it, unless the drop off is big enough between the 4 and the 3 I'll probably just go for the 3 version. I can definitely see myself waiting a long time before buying a 4, I waited for 3 years to buy a PS3 after it came out anyway and right now I'm plenty satisfied with the 3.

Been the first on the new console bus is generally not a good idea. Lot of bugs to work out highest price and still plenty of great games for the previous console. |
Re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
I'll probably go with the new xbox when it comes out, but I'll definitely give it some time before I make the switch. Once the game developers start moving on from the 360 that's when I will too.

I stopped playing PlayStation when they had that 2 month hacking. Haven't played since

This one looks absolutely amazing but for me it's about Watchdogs and Star Wars 1313. Can't wait to see what Xbox shows off because all the info about the dev kits out there shows the new Xbox to be the stronger of the two new systems unlike the current gen. I'll most likely get a new PC and PS4 around the same time frame and eventually get the next XBOX. The best part of the PS4 announcement is that developers will start releasing a new caliber of game. Hopefully Sony learned their lesson though from last generation. That first year or two the 360 destroyed the PS3. I like the idea of cloud gaming. I know they're really doing it to push back against Gamestop but virtually every game I've bought in the past 6 months with the exception of Halo 4 was a digital copy. I much prefer loading a game off my hard drive instead of switching out copies of disc. Really helps the ADD in me. |
Do yourself a favor and get Bioshock Infinite.

I was going to buy Infinite as soon as it came out but then I saw Assassin's Creed III for like $25 so I picked that up instead; now I'll wait a little bit for the price of BI to drop for as long as I can hold out. |
Re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
I was going to wait for a price drop on Bioshock Infinite too but not sure I can wait that long. Sounds like it definitely lives up to all the hype. Think I'll pick it up this weekend.

Perhaps, but it depends on how well the game is selling. A game like this might take a while to see a price drop. |

I finished DS3 last week. Probably my least favorite in the series. The story didn't do much for me personally. The game looks great though, and as always the sound and atmosphere is amazing. Definitely worth playing but I thought the first 2 were better. |

100% agreed. The dlc they brought out for it, Awakened, plays a lot like the originals as far as terror and psychological aspects go. |

A little piece of me died inside when this got announced earlier this week. A part of me is still hoping some of the industry rumors of some of these titles being outsourced to other publishers is true, especially for a title like 1313 that had tons of hype and excitement after its reveal last summer. |
Re: New Games on the Horizon (the video game thread)
Has anyone beside me finished Bioshock Infinite yet? I've been dying to talk about the ending but no one has finished it yet. It was so complicated I actually had to look it up on the internet to have it make any sense to me. But now that I understand it... Mind = blown.

Yeah it was definitely a bit of a mind trip. This series always does such a great job with curveballs and how they incorporate them into the story line so you see previous moments from the game in a whole new light once the curtain has been drawn. |
