uh yeah, I just don't get it.[/quote]But Gruden's a "new" playcaller at Washington. So Jackson can't possible match last season. Meanwhile the Cowpukes having a new playcaller is an advantage.

Surprised that the cowpuke writer didn't tout Witten more, but maybe they're afraid of what Jordan Reed can do, with Garcon and Jackson as deep threats?

Manning said in a release issued by the team that he expects to be able to run again in about six weeks.
He sprained his ankle in the final game of the 2013 season against the Redskins and has spent the offseason rehabbing it. The procedure was described as a debridement of the ankle and was performed by foot and ankle specialist Robert Anderson in Charlotte, N.C. Manning has been in North Carolina this week working out at Duke with some of his receivers.

“It was definitely frustrating,” he said. “I felt great coming into [2013] and I was hoping I could better my stats and help the offense more. But I wasn’t able to do that. Being a competitor and a receiver who wants the ball every play -- you obviously can’t get the ball every play -- but I have that mentality. Whenever there’s a pass play I want the ball in my hands and I think I can do something special with it. When you don’t get the opportunity, it was definitely really frustrating for me.”
...

“Going into [this year], I wanted to be the No. 2 receiver. But I still don’t how it’s going to work out. Obviously, when you look at how much money is being made each guy, you’d think that’s going to be [the] No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3.”

Feel bad for Roberts, he's certainly been pushed to #3 now when he thought he would get a chance for #2. It's where he's best suited and he makes us better, so I'm glad he's here.. but he's not going to get a chance to be #2 here, barring injury.

He will probably end up with more catches than PJ & D. Jax. Safeties playing deep and double teaming PJ & D. Jax leaving the middle open for Roberts & jordan.

i'm in the hopes that we do a lot of different things on offense, allowing teams to be guessing where our WR will line up and play.. I think his concern is genuine, but he will soon find out that he will be featured more than he thinks.... this has the potential to be an extremely explosive offense.. he needs to think Az Hakim... or Ricky Sanders... not riley cooper/Jason avant before maclin got hurt.. lol

I hate finding kick returners in the NFL. It's easily the most inconsistent position once you get past college. Not long after you're deemed a good returner do teams find a way to shut you down. Long gone are the days of reliable returners like Brian Mitchell. Devin Hester is the closest thing we got to stability in this day and age .

Can't help but wonder if it's due to an all or nothing mind set where unless you score TDs you're deemed a failure encouraging ARE 400 yard horizontal style returns.

Hey, no doubt from me. Anytime your veteran starting QB has a season almost on par statistically with Curtis Painter's pitiful season in Indianapolis, it's time to start thinking seriously about a change. If I'm the Giants' FO, I'm on the phone with the Redskins right now, offering them my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round draft picks for the services of Kirk Cousins. If that doesn't work and I actually can't find any another upgrade over Eli, I either retire or shoot myself. Certainly wouldn't want to be associated with a guy who threw 27 INTs in one season. 27! I mean, heck! How do you throw to the guys in the wrong color jersey 27 times in a single season?

Just as a side note, some of the above is satire. Some, not so much...

You would have to know something about football to understand about his 27 ints but he is in good company Brett Favre had a bad year(2005) once or twice(99+98) but what is really interesting is 27 ints and 0-6 start and take just two of those ints away and the Giants win the division .
