Yes...and they breaking these rules for someone with a major, organizational wide sexual harassment investigation? The investigation is either a sham too or is a nothing burger. No way they do this if the outcome was already determined. The behind the scenes conversations about this would be fascinating with the NFL and other owners. I’m sure Snyder had some firepower behind him to get this done...Jerry Jones being probably acting top muscle in support Forcing out minority owners instead of Snyder with all the scandal over the last couple years, it’s really something. Snyder in total control as the outcome |

WTOP is also reporting that DS is buying out the minority owners. This is bad news for WFT and its fans. DS is a lousy owner who will now be an empowered lousy owner. Until he's gone WFT will continue to be a bottom tier team. |

I'm not thrilled about the news, but it's not like he was any less powerful before. Hell, a few years ago, I didn't know the team had minority owners. |

Intense discord amongst the ownership group is not good for business and even though this isn't the franchise from my childhood it is a major market in probably the major division based on top to bottom team recognition alone. Removing one bad situation adds stability. |

As for keeping WFT, yea ok, but we need a better "W". Owning 100% makes it easier to sell. |

Me too, it may also make it less complicated for the NFL to force a sale...... at the very least I don't think it necessarily means he is not selling the team in the future. |
Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
Dan isn't selling. I think this whole fiasco with the minority owners trying to smear him has only made him dig in his heels even further. Really interested to see where that part of the story goes. Seems like some really shady shit was going on with people trying to force him to sell.

Whatever it takes to get that weasel out im good with. We have seen enough of him already. There is nothing they could fabricate to make it more obvious he needs to go. |

I don't think he will either, but it's far from a laughable scenario. If Bezos wants a team, he will get one. That doesn't mean it will be the WFT, but money talks and no one on earth has more than him. |

Never say never, who's to say if Bezos came with a strong offer Snyder wouldn't listen? Plenty of sources say Dan isn't very liquid and most of his worth is tied up in the team. Definitely wouldn't rule it out. |

The Shady Shit began with THE DAN not paying dividends and then refusing to give investors a timely account of expenses. We are now stuck with THE DAN forever and will never win a SB. THE DAN will also pass the team onto his son, who is probably just as epically useless, so basically. . . Bezos loves DC and would probably favor owning the Skins. He could have easily bought the Panthers. . . But then he hadn't really settled onto the post-Seattle phase of his life then either. He should just buy the entire NFL, LOL. Also, he is pouring GOBS into his rocket company, and may favor that more than an NFL team at present. On the other hand, he also just retired from main running of Amazon responsibilities, so would have time to enjoy NFL team. . . |

NO WAY in hell THE DAN ever sells. Snyder Communications was a giant slamming scam, company that bought it wrote billion+ off after sale, the entire purchase amount. Every business THE DAN has touched he has run into the ground, Six Flags, etc. He gets an economic free rider effect in NFL, he can be completely incompetent, but other competent owners and managers ensure he cashes in. He is never surrendering that. He gets to sit back and do nothing and make $50-$100M a year in profit not including inflation of team value. . . Plus he is the supreme fan boy. He loves the core identity of being Skins owner. Without Skins, he is just a douche no one likes with a yacht. . . He has publicly said he will ensure the team is inherited by his son. . . Think of all the stories over the years. The ice cream. The not looking him in eyes. The Mr. Snyder. The stop and salute in his house when he walks by. The charging for practices. The suing season ticket holders. Etc. Etc. Etc. The reason the Skins have been bad for so long is the THE DAN is just a pirate, captain pump and run. He doesn't know how to build anything honest or lasting. He cashed in on one gigantic pyramid of fraud, give him credit for that, but has NO IDEA how to build anything honest and good long term. Twenty years into owning the team, it just occurs to him that we need a coach-centric culture? LOL. LOL. What we need is any culture that doesn't involve him. He's liquid enough to own a 9-figure yacht, LOL. All he wants to do is travel on that, eat good and feed his man tits and keep them plump, and enjoy the Skins during offseason from yachting. He has nothing else to offer the world except fraud and deceit and exploitation and treating people abusively, and he certainly knows this deep in his heart. Look how poorly he is aging, in moments of clarity, he must think of what a turd he has been to people, especially the whole don't look him in the eyes, guy thinks he's a f-ing Roman Emperor. He will never sell unless he suffers some catastrophic loss of wealth that makes him think his son can't keep the team, which is highly improbable, especially having borrowed $450M to have total ownership. He'll pay that off in about a decade, and then be rolling in cash. Never Bezos level cash, but enough to have to never sell for sure. He just sits back and watches the cash roll in. . . His son will probably have to sell a minority interest to pay the estate taxes, unless THE DAN can perhaps shift assets to secrecy jurisdictions or front companies and escape taxation. |

Re: WFT's Off-Season Thread
Dan isn't going anywhere now, maybe the investigation was joke from the start, maybe it simply didn't get enough to force him out... either way the NFL wouldn't back him up so strongly and then have him sell the team.
The only positive from this is we may finally get to have a team name. I do think the possibility he may have to sell was a big reason in the delay, cuz the opportunity to rebrand would have increased the value of the franchise even more. |

More importantly, he capitulated and changed the name, tossed out a sexist broadcaster and brought in a woman, and hired two (for the record: very competent) African-Americans for the front office. All things considered, Danny is the poster boy for Woke Victory. We fans are the losers. We have lost our name and still have him.:embarrass |

Wow, playing the Bucs, Chiefs, Bills, Chargers, Saints.
Not too worried about the Saints without Brees, but at least w also get Atlanta, Carolina, Denver, Las Vegas along with out own division opponents. |

If they win the division again, they will have earned it for sure.

We would lose those games before we play the game if we still had Smith.. With our D (along with a better CB) and Fitzpatrick, I think we can win 2-3 of those games. |

In fact, the Bills plus those 2 are our 3 unique games. Consider the Cowboys get Minnesota, Arizona, and NE The Giants get Chicago, LAR, and Miami Next season's NFC East champ has a tough road regardless although Philly with the 4th place schedule gets the easier games for 2 of those 3 - Lions, SF, and NYJ. WR Adam Humphries ... never heard of him before but if he can stay healthy and give us 600 yards as a chain moving slot .. that would be awesome.
Low risk, high reward move by the FO, I like it. |

He's had his share of injuries including a couple concussions, but "if healthy", he looks to be the answer at the slot WR position. He's certainly capable of 600+ yards and a few TDs, and he had his best years with Fitzpatrick. |
