Well my brother lives right next to Green Bay….and a lot of people there believe an asshole is involved in the situation and they aren’t in the front office…..they’re throwing passes…..

That tends to be the felling everywhere. He got the old HC and OC fired and got the people he wanted ,now the soon to be 38 year old QB is mad because the team drafted his back up / replacement? To hell with Rodgers , the front Office has to do what's best for the team.

They are attempting to appease him and pay him to be the highest paid qb already. People may think I'm nuts, but at this point if Love looks sharp I may consider trading him for an enormous king's ransom.

Reasons:

1) He's a malcontent and suddenly has a bad attitude.
2) He's also 38 years old.
3) Send a message to not tolerate any BS at all.


Again, this would only be an option if Love looks ready to go. If this occurs, and a team dangles 3 1st rounders in front of me I would listen at this point. What always kills me about these situations is when these guys demand to be paid what they are and then bitch that the teams don’t get them complimentary players in free agency. Ummm….thing called a salary cap and that means a team can’t spend unlimited money. But then don’t pay them and they feel “dissed”. 🤦*♂️🙄

How so? Aaron had no problem with a similar situation when he was drafted to replace Favre. An adult would have known it was coming and handled it accordingly.

Rodgers was 36 when Love was drafted, but regardless, when you have an all time great QB and you go behind his back and take his replacement (with a first round pick no less) when he still has plenty of good ball left in him, probably not a great idea. GB knows AR well, they should have known this was going to cause drama.

A little communication goes a long way, especially with diva players. Then at least in the court of public opinion GB could have said, look, we told him what we were doing. We were upfront and honest about it. Now instead you have people taking his side.

We are talking about today’s athletes. They are more disconnected from reality today than they have ever been. We can’t relate.

AR past is quite well known…the family stuff is kinda weird and wild…but everyone in that org is well aware of sensitives and ego. They mishandled it…just like the Texans mishandled Watson in promising to bring him into decision making and then not doing it.

Communication works both ways. Aarons idea of communication is “give me whatever I want when I want it or I’ll whine like a baby”. Sure that’s contributed to his wearing out his welcome there.

What if they went into the draft seriously believing they had no shot at a QB and then Love fell to them? Do they have to call him and get permission before the draft Love? What if they told Aaron they were gonna take a QB and the draft played out in a way where they didn’t take one? That’s awkward too….then he’s like…”oh they want me gone but didn’t take anyone so I’m still gonna whine because know i “know” they don’t want me”. I was married to a diva once. Trust me there is a point where nothing you do makes them happy.

He's under contract through 2023. He ain't going anywhere for at least the next 2 seasons. Maybe they'll trade him when he only has 1 year left, but he isn't a spring chicken.

They can have him play out his contract then franchise tag him for at least 2024.

He will be there the rest of his career if GB wants.

Love is under contract for 3+1 yr option.

GB has to do something. By all accounts, I imagine A Aron is gone after this year but he'll be 1 year older. Maybe he gets a significant injury this season.

It feels like a repeat of one Favre moved on.

Its hard when you have a aging superstar; its a balance of stroking that ego and long term success of the franchise.

The Celtics back in the day held on to Bird, McHale and Parrish way way to long, it set them back years doing that.

AR should have won multiple superbowls with GB. The lack of talent around him throughout his career there has been lackluster at best. Im sorry but when you have that type of quarterback at the helm and you draft his replacement in the first round when he has several years left to play ,…well just a bad move. Why are you drafting for the future when your window was now? Are you telling me GB wasn’t a couple pieces from winning another title last year? Rodgers certainly was not the issue. If I was Rodgers Id wanna go somewhere where they are going to give me a chance to win more championships and if that makes me a diva cool.
