Fresh Start Political Thread
I haven't followed the Afghan situation, but count me in the group that wanted a withdrawal.
If a country/citizenry is fighting an oppressive regime and needs aid, we should do that. BUT it has to be the citizens of their own country first. We are not an empire regardless of how some international media portray us. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk
This. You can lead a horse to water. The main problem I have with Biden is him blaming Trump publicly. That is exactly the kind of shit I hate about Trump. just take responsibility whether Trump did things that made it worse or not. As for our entire history there and not just the last week…80 billion dollars and twenty years worth of aid and training and for what? A thirty minute fight ? We were never over there to liberate the people froM an oppressive regime anyway. We were there for oil, poppy, minerals. Funny how whenever we are liberating people they happen to live on a mountain of precious commodity. I find myself wondering why they did not get all the people out first and than the military last? Obviously they had their reasons. They did greatly underestimate the Taliban and greatly overestimate the security forces. This article is from a week ago and they were worried Kabul would be overrun in 6 months maybe. Some said 90 days. But this was lightning. |
Re: Fresh Start Political Thread
It's pretty boring just being in agreement with (pretty much) everyone. I change my mind. I want to declare war on all of the middle east.
Trump wanted a withdrawl.
Biden wanted a withdrawl. Americans overwhelmingly wanted a withdrawl. We withdrew. People trying to criticize Biden seem to have an agenda. Whats new.
Here you go: The @WSJ editors accurately, succinctly damn @POTUS @JoeBiden. When Taliban violated the Doha agreement —premised on a negotiated power sharing— the U.S. was free to keep Bagram, it’s 2500 troops and NATO’s 5000, to use air power. He could have saved thousands. He chose not to. To say trump or trump plan is simply laughable. He fucking chose NOT to enforce the negotiated agreement. Also the Pelosi receipts from disagreeing with trump plan and then endorsing Biden plan the withdrawal from Afghanistan are widely available online. There is the policy difference and the execution Imagine being so intellectually dishonest to think this is somehow trump’s doing. Own it sunnyside….own the worst foreign policy debacle in our lifetime. These are the same retards who believe Obama Middle East policy was a success. This is solely A Biden failure…disgraceful I want you to take this situation and what you would say 2 years ago. |
Chico - just curious do you still support Trump? Because this was Trump's plan and strategy as well. The Republicans need to go back to being Conservatives as the populist Trumper's isolationism is as bad and possibly worse than the left's can't do defeatism.
Lol see u clean this from yesterday. Smart Yeah I’ve pointed out the incorrect nuance per the WSJ article of appropriate actionable steps. Biden had a lot of options…we know that. Trump really seems to be on your mind, got you editing post at 1am. |

As for the edit itself not sure what it was as it doesn't look like anything changed so probably an English correction. But my question stands - Trump was planning to abandon Afghanistan as well and actually sooner so why do you still support him? He was shitty president that destroyed the conservative movement in the Republican party. Why can't you return to being a conservative instead of a populist? |

To add I have two SIL both Military ,one a MGySgt at Lejeune the other a First Sergeant in the 82nd at Bragg he's the one who has been deployed 4 times to Afghanistan (not there right now) |
Re: Fresh Start Political Thread
Military strategy and foreign policy still boils down to opinion or preference. If not our leaders in these areas would have done the right thing for the last hundred years and clearly that is not the case, and you will always have “experts” that agree and disagree so…..

Re: Fresh Start Political Thread
Remember when the right was crying humanitarian crisis about the poor Afghanistans who helped us in the War just like 48 hours ago? Didn’t take long to start crying fuck refugees did it?

This happened under Bidens watch! Something like this would never have happened under Trumps watch! Ever! There was nothing but peaceful protests under Trumps watch and people only had guns because the Woke Mob was killing statues and patriots needed to protect our neighborhoods from them! And the caravan at the southern border! |

I really hope he got that one phone call with Biden, otherwise it totally wasn't worth it. "Mr. President - you should clone yourself.... so you can go fuck yourself." |

This shit is what happens when you have mentally unstable people out there being fed lies and conspiracies by someone in power.
Terrorizing the government now makes you a patriot. FFS. |

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/gop-rep-mo-brooks-slammed-fellow-lawmakers-statement-d-c-n1277212 GOP Rep. Mo Brooks slammed by fellow lawmakers for statement about D.C. bomb threat suspect "Although this terrorist's motivation is not yet publicly known, and generally speaking, I understand citizenry anger directed at dictatorial Socialism and its threat to liberty, freedom, and the very fabric of American society," he said. "The way to stop Socialism's march is for patriotic Americans to fight back in the 2022 and 2024 elections," Brooks added. |
Re: Fresh Start Political Thread
Of course the socialism card. This shit is getting so old. Morons like Brooks are fanning the flames of the fire that Trump started. More innocent people are going to die because of these assholes.

Re: Fresh Start Political Thread
We don't have allies. We just have lots of countries that take advantage of us.
Fuck what our "allies" think about us. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/biden-afghanistan-american-credibility-uk-parliament-condemnation We spend all the money, our soldiers do the large majority of dying/sacrificing, and we get "allies" saying shit like this? If I was ever president, and I'd be awesome lol, one of the very 1st things I'd do is get the fuck out of the UN/NATO. A bunch of freeloaders. P.S. - A very special fuck you to Germany!! Germany should shut the fuck up. I'm genuinely surprised any American gives a fuck about what Germany thinks. |
Re: Fresh Start Political Thread
Larry Elder chose to be black and not vote liberal, therefore he is being shredded out here in the CA recall.
A lot like Hernan Cain, in 2012, in his presidential campaign. He was a threat to democratic party (not because he would likely win, but because he was black, super successful, and not liberal), they got some white woman to allege rape. Then he dropped off, and liberals never talked about him again, until he died from Covid. (Not all, but a lot of) White liberals hate when black Americans don't vote as they're told to. |
