If the name is anything other than Commanders the front office deserves major kudos on a couple fronts:
1) keeping a major change in house without leaks
2) listening to fan disgust with Commanders
3) being able to think outside the box.

I would not be surprised if this didn't happen but I have a hard time believing that a billion dollar franchise would not vett through focus groups, but it is hard to argue with the social media mob clamoring they are disappointed with the name.

The only name that would be well received by Redskins fans and former Redskins players is - Redskins.

Everything else and anything else will get mixed reviews, it will be weird, maybe dumb, but eventually we'll all embrace it. There have been plenty of better reasons for me to jump ship since I became a fan...I don't see me jumping ship now. I suppose some might, but that's fine.

If I hated the Owner and the New Name and was unhappy with the Coach and front office and thought the stadium was total crap and believed we would never get a Franchise QB and really thought that as long as Snyder owned the team we would never win a super bowl .. IF I thought all that somebody please explain to me why a person would still root for this team ..for the record I don’t like Snyder but he ain’t selling the team .I like the commanders name better than some others I’ve heard .. I like Ron as a coach .. I think we are way better than we were under Bruce and Vinny days .. we are trying to get a QB .. I don’t really care about the stadium .. I watch on TV .. it just seems there are a lot of fans miserable with everything about this team .. why do they stay ??

Cus it was our team before douchebag bought it. Also as has been said so many times before we are like scorned lovers. Divorce isn’t an option, but we hate everything about the team/woman we once loved.

There is really no way out. So we just hang around hoping they will earn our love again. They just need to win.
