Re: Reggie Bush's Contract
Yeah, I have to disagree with a few of those. Herschel Walker had a pretty good career, so he shouldn't be labeled a "bust". Bo Jackson was one of the best backs in the league before a freak injury finished his career. If you're basing it on the length of his career, then I can see your argument, but if Ricky Williams and Vinny Testaverde are considered "good" then Jackson certainly should be.
Bo is hard to peg since he played two sports. I moved him a couple of times before just dropping him in bust. I would agree, though, that he could be considered a success. Check Ricky's stats - I think you have to consider him a success, despite his weirdness. Sitting out a year doesn't help, and that assessment could change a few years down the road. Vinny has 45,000 passing yards and 270 TDs over an 18 year career - that's a success any way you slice it. Herschel had three good years at the beginning of his career, but didn't really do squat afterward. He wasn't a complete bust, but I'm not sure I would categorize him as a success. There should probably be three categories - those who did very well, those who did fine, and those who were complete busts. |

He came out as a sophomore - I think he finished 4th in the voting? |

Not sure, but that's the back he was referring to. |
