No way. |
Re: Patten's Smart Ass Remark
caught my attention too & didn't look good on paper, but maybe he was saying it in a lighter manner than it appeared.
What worrys me is that he said at the end of last year that he was healthy enough to play & sounded unhappy that he'd been put on IR. I recall also reading that he felt he didn't get the ball thrown his way enough. We brought him on board cause he's a vet w/a winning history & still has some speed. we certainly don't need any problems cause it ain't like he's a feature reciever in this league.
but see thats nothing to get your panties in a bunch about. i mean it would have been a crapshoot if the skins were to leave him on the active roster "hoping" to make the playoffs |
Re: Patten's Smart Ass Remark
I didn't make too much of it. One thing I found kind of interesting was that Portis' contract apparently specifically stipulated that the Redskins reserved the right to restructure it. So even if Portis didn't want to restructure he really didn't have that much of a choice it seems, I wonder how many other players had similar contracts

Re: Patten's Smart Ass Remark
regardless... he's making a point.
granted an unnecessary point that has no constructive value. none. unless redskins ask him to restructure now... hehehe |
Re: Patten's Smart Ass Remark
This is really no big deal. I think we're digging deep into a pretty honest statement someone made. No biggy.
|
Re: Patten's Smart Ass Remark
its honest, and im sure many people feel that way on the team, just why say it?
|
Re: Patten's Smart Ass Remark
being honest and being stupid can happen at the same time....
when pattten makes some big plays then he can preach all he wants |
Re: Patten's Smart Ass Remark
i concur. make plays next year then say that type of $h1t.
|
Re: Patten's Smart Ass Remark
Maybe they should have asked Patten to return some of his money last year since he couldn't make it through the entire season the way Santana did.
|
Re: Patten's Smart Ass Remark
haha
now we might be thinking a "bit" too much into it. i think malcolm was just saying that it irritated him. |

I would agree, but after the season he had, well, things sound a little different. If anything, this really solidifies the fact that he is bitter, and probably not happy here. |

I am certain no matter what plays he makes next season when he speaks honestly he will get ripped. When it comes to honesty and looking out for their own interests, players cant win with fans. |
Re: Patten's Smart Ass Remark
I work for the Fed & give money back in taxes every payday!

Re: Patten's Smart Ass Remark
I thought it sounded bad, but he is right. He also didn't say he would not have if he were asked to. A slip up in public speaking probably.
