I was just glancing at this and thought you wrote "homoerotic".

Not that I'm defensive.

Well, most people judge the skins based on the hoggettes. Personally, i think the hoggettes need to have some tough cohones to dress like that, but it's all good. But a lot of other NFC East fans think the whole fan base is gay because of that.
I'd say that while Lavar isn't a big loss for us, he is a big gain for New York.
I see it the same way. What worries me (and most QBs) about Lavar is that he may give up big plays, but he may also end your career on any one play. That tends to keep guys from keeping thier heads in the game.

With the two DEs the Giants have, Lavar will be a big pass rush threat. That worries me with Brunnel.

Anyone who has doubts about Joe Gibbs at this point need their head examined. My worry was that the game may have past him by after the first season in his comeback but he has two of the best minds in the business in Williams and Saunders and he's letting them do what they do better than most of ther peers. He's doing whatever it takes to return the Skin's to those glory years and he's not letting his ego get in way. He's a GREAT manager of men, he wins at everything he does and he will get us back to that level once again. It's just a matter of time IMO.
I'd say that while he isn't a big loss for us, he is a big gain for New York. Lavar has never shown the discipline to work within our system, and he couldn't be "the man" here - something he expected to be. In New York, he isn't going to be the centerpiece either, but the expectations won't be there.

That being said, I think we will torch him, because no one knows Lavar's tendencies better than us.
We may know Lavar's tendencies as does he know ours. I think thats why we got blown out the first game last season, maybe antonio pierce filled them in. Lavar is a huge gain for new york, which doesnt help the fact we didnt need him. I saw on the nfl network when he was interviewed he didnt know how we would recieve him back at the stadium for when we play the giants at home. I say boo him noone wear that jersey, and throw every hateful remark that comes to mind at him and his way. Screw him.

Other than that, I'm hard pressed to believe that one player knew tendencies from practice, and was able to pass on that knowledge in the practice week.

I think they were just the better team that day. It happens.

We get new ones, though. Al Saunders wasn't calling plays last year.

We got blown out because their owner died and they were pumped up. I am sure Antonio shared some info, but nothing to cause a blow out.

I'll also have to disagree with Lavar being a big loss. We had one of the top defenses in football with him on our bench. We didn't and don't need him.

Maybe Antonio filled them in. I read an article after the game where they asked him if he thought that the game would be this easy and he said something like it's real easy when you know what theyare going to do. He knew the plays and the schemes and I'm sure he told them EVERYTHING he knew. I'm sure Lavar will tell some things as well, but who gives a shit. If we line up with the drive to win there shouldn't be any problems. I personally see Washington giving New York WORK in the first game. Losing Lavar can be considered a loss but we've been groomed for that loss for about 2 years so there shouldn't be a problem there either. The only thing you really lose is speed. That's it. Clemons is good over there, and IF Holdman gets better he'll be good over there. All you miss out on is Lavars speed, you add in a couple misreads here and there. A couple of brain farts and were all even.

What a joke. Yeah Lavar was no good. We never neededim. It's much easier to assume that point of view after he's gone. Your absolutely crazy if you think he didn't benefit the skins throgh the years. Shoot... he help win many games.

How quick we forget.

While I do not disagree that LA (Like a moth to the damn flame-another arrington thread) has signifigant amount of talent, he did not have enough talent for the coaching staff to keep him. It was a conscious decision to let him go, and under the terms, the Skins jumped at it. That makes me think, Joe and Greg don't think he has that much to offer. As for insider info, and the Giants win. We beat their ass in the second game, with AP giving all the valuable insight he to offer. Any given day!

Re: Why No Faith???

Arrington couldn't get his knee right for more than a couple weeks at a time over the last two years. I'd say that's a significant sign of a chronic problem and I don't see him making it through this season with the Giants. We're better off.
how could a guy who barely played, and didnt even play well when he did play, a big loss...this loss will only help us
Look at his numbers in and leading up to the post season and he has strong numbers. Like it was said in another post he was not a big loss here but is a big gain for NY. I think Pierce is a bigger threat to us than Lavar because of all his hard work he puts in the film room preparing for a game.
