Re: Lincoln Kennedy To Try Out For Redskins
I wouldn't mind bringing him in to eat up blocks like he's Sam Adams. Just get in the way and free up Griffin and Carter. The main concern with a guy that big, though, is gonna be his conditioning and whether or not his body can deal with him trying to throw that much weight around. I certainly wouldn't mind them picking up another DT.
Put the bong down. He is an offensive lineman. |
Re: Lincoln Kennedy To Try Out For Redskins
if i remember correctly he was one of the few that said we would win a wildcard spot when there were still 4 or 5 teams contending last season. while everybody else was sucking off dallas he went out on a limb and said WE would be in the playoffs. he was even laughed at by rod woodson when he said it and he just followed that by we will see.
He was also the guy that earlier in the season said that he would walk to Washington if they made the playoffs. I haven't seen him yet but I would swerve at him if I did. |

i would also try to run his naked ass over and then tell my kids why i did it!! |
He might be trying out for the Cowboys as well.
He would start for them. |
Re: Lincoln Kennedy To Try Out For Redskins
6-7, 385 pounds??
My lord that's a hoss. He'd definitely give us a nice veteran backup. |
Re: Lincoln Kennedy To Try Out For Redskins
OL depth = good. if he can be like ray brown for a couple years, i'd be happy with that.
|
Re: Lincoln Kennedy To Try Out For Redskins
This could be good for our depth. I dunno if i trust a 35 year old, 385 pound lineman to do the job after two years out of the league, but while he was in the league he was definitely one of the best.

haha...that's a very good point, sir. As you can probably tell, I wasn't thinking of Lincoln Kennedy. Somehow my mind confused him with Ted Washington...ugh. :/ |
Re: Lincoln Kennedy To Try Out For Redskins
According to Stats Inc, Kennedy's "listed" playing wieght was 335. That probably rann a litlle closer to 345-350. Considering he hasn't worked out professionally in two years, 35 pounds isn't a lot of weight to deal with.

He could probably lose it a few days practicing in this heat |
Re: Lincoln Kennedy To Try Out For Redskins
I mean really what do we have to lose? You can never have to many good OL men.
A roster spot and a year of development for one of our young guys. That said, I'd sign him if he can pass a physical. |
Re: Lincoln Kennedy To Try Out For Redskins
If he can not have a heart attack and still has a little wiggle then I can't see this being a bad move if it happens. He'd be a vet min guy who seems smart and dilligent. Maybe not quite a Ray Brown figure but he probably would bring a little more to the field. I give this a hardy thumbs up.

Re: Lincoln Kennedy To Try Out For Redskins
thank goodness haha, because i was getting a little worried hearing jon jasen was being thrown and pushed around like a rag doll at camp.
|
Re: Lincoln Kennedy To Try Out For Redskins
He's too big(fat) and slow.
Ray Brown was in great shape and could play all positions. |
Re: Lincoln Kennedy To Try Out For Redskins
lol...he is 6-7 385....who could move that....just have him line up in the backfield and stand in front of brunell......
