This is GIBBS football, and Skins don't act like that... or I would at least hope they wouldn't.... Save it for TO. |

That's correct. He only bad mouthed the Redskins while he was a Redskin. |
Re: LA Responds to Critizism
Let LaVar be pissed, who cares, is anyone really worried about a LB with a bum knee who's past his prime?
I really think Lindsey and Springs tried to get in his head and it obviously worked. He's going to be so amped up he'll probably burn out after the first play. |

Good answer :towel: |
Re: LA Responds to Critizism
Knowing our luck, he will have a stellar outing against us, and fade back to mediocrity immediately after. Lavar probably comes away with an INT, a sack and a couple of huge hits.

Re: LA Responds to Critizism
LaVar is not an impact player anymore and unfortunately for him he doesn't know it yet. His anger is conveniently pointed towards the Skins organization but watching him play now it is readily apparent that he is a shell of his former self. His lack of explosion is obviously due to his knee and watching him play the last few games up here in NYC--he runs more upright than I ever remember. He just can't get low anymore. Coupled with his lack of speed now--LaVar is rendered mediocre.
I always liked LaVar and he paid his dues during those lean years here but now I just feel sorry for him. He's almost irrelevant now. Is he still capable of a big game? Maybe. Will it happen this week? Who knows. I'm just glad it's LaVar that the Skins are facing as opposed to a playmaker like Shawn Merriman. Or Urlacher. Or Sean Taylor... |
Re: LA Responds to Critizism

|
Re: LA Responds to Critizism

Re: LA Responds to Critizism
yeah, and the mods wonder why they get hijacked:)

Re: LA Responds to Critizism
LA should have done what he said...which was if i am not going to play for the skins i should retire.
|
Re: LA Responds to Critizism
if he retired, it'd kill our cap. buying himself out was extremely stupid (for him) but it was great for the skins cap. of course, they turned around and overspent on carter and arch, but that' life.

Re: LA Responds to Critizism
When Lavar Arrington was at the height of his popularity in Washington, was he the most popular player by a wide margin?
Was he the fan favorite? I get the feeling that he was very hurt by a perceived rejection by Gibbs and Williams |
