the spread is the odds bookies give to help even out their bets so they dont lose money,they want even betting on both sides,the spread this week is the giants -4 1/2 which means if you bet on the giants they have to win by more than 4 1/2 points,if you bet on the skins they cant lose by more than 4 1/2
the straight means no points are involved,just pick which team will win,its a lot harder to pick against the spread than straight up

yeah, i don't bet on every team though, and for what we're doing (over e-mail) you have to pick a winner for every team in straight, spread, and ovr/und.
