Re: Sean Taylor is my hero!

ST ended the game with basically two turnovers. The fourth down tackle was sweet, and the INT sealed it. We need him playing like that--he needs to cut loose, even if at times he does something bone-headed. He best when he's got the swagger.

I thought that Williams re-vamped his schemes today, for the first time all year. We have lots of 7-8 in the box against the run, and much more press coverage with GOOD SAFETY HELP! It looked much more straight up from the front 7, and they responded. That little bit of pressure (and Golston, Carter, Griffen, and others were in the backfield all day) really changes the equation for the DBs. And they seemed to KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING back there. How weird is that? Even on plays where they gave up 1st downs, they weren't radically out of position, as we've seen all year. GW definetley changed something. Maybe JG had a little chat about EVERYONE needing to do better? ;)

I agree, ST pickin up a loose ball rather than falling on it is kind of like a b-ball player that can shoot a fade away. About any high school coach will tell you that if you're fading away you shouldn't be shooting, but Phil Jackson never told MJ to pass rather than shoot the fade away he developed in his last 4-5 years w/the bulls. Not that Taylor is the Jordan of the nfl, but he can & does make big plays when he touchs the ball.

It was great seeing the old Sean Taylor making plays to ice a game. Too bad Gibbs didn't appeal to the players a month ago to play with greater urgency.

Carlos also played his best game of the year, so this might be a great stepping stone for our young core defenders getting their mojo back for the rest of the season.

On the flipside it's a shame it had to come down to that. These guys are professionals, pride alone should have had them playing with more fire all season long.

Who is this Old Sean Taylor? In his 3rd year he's getting old? He's involved in almost every tackle. What is this "it looks like the old" ST?

WTF?
is it just me or does sean taylor play better with VFOX than AA and TV.

seems i lot more comfortible with v.fox, kind of like Ryan Clark
Vernon Fox reminds me a lot of Ryan Clark.

If nothing else, this game proves that a second safety can be a system guy, and you don't have to go overpaying for talent when you have Sean Taylor already.
