For kicks, go here

Apple - Trailers - Apocalypto - Trailer - Medium

Now scroll forward about 1:45 into the trailer (should be around the part where you see a close up of the monkey with his mouth wide open),

Now pause the trailer and go back frame by frame

Enjoy the surprise
I can't access this from work. Was it the picture of Mel smoking?

I have absolutely no interest in seeing this movie, or just about any movie by Mel Gibson.

I refer back to the South Park episode when the boys were trying to get their money back after saying the Passion sucked. Mel Gibson was a complete lunatic, and I still think about that episode every time I see Mel Gibson.
Do you get kind of desensitized though to all the violence after it's been on display so much throughout the movie? I mean I haven't seen it, but I could imagine that happening
Heh... considering the crazy shit i've seen on film, Mel's sense of violence was already Disneyland for me... But the movie was pretty cool, aside from the blood and gore (if you can believe it).

I didn't think so but it was definitely a lot at times.
SOunds like Mel...

I heard Blood Diamonds is very good--anyone seen it? I'm not a big DiCaprio fan, but I read a great review of it.
DiCaprio's had a pretty good string of movies though-Catch Me If You Can, Gangs of New York, The Aviator, The Departed

Going back to an earlier film of his, I thought he was amazing in Basketball Diaries.

I hate to admit it, but the guy is probably going to have an impressive trophy case before he's done.

Why is everyone (general public) freaking out over Apocalypto?

I haven't seen it but doesn't it take place in pre-european Central America?

Cultures infamous for their brutality and gratuitous religious practices.

I'd have to give best actor to DiCaprio this year for "Departed." He absolutely killed it on the screen... made Nicholson look amateur, as much as it pains me to say that.
