More teams should try letting a coach do his job for more than 2-3 seasons. That's one of the reasons I'm all for letting Gibbs do his 5 years and even more if he wants to. Organizational consistency is very underrated in this league.

I agree about letting Gibbs do his thing for as long as he wants but I think the issue with Gibbs is his age. Cowher has been with the Steelers for something like 15 years and it took him 14 of those to get the championship. I think Gibbs has 5 years at most left in him as head coach and I just dont see that as being enough time to get an organization as screwed up as the redskins back to something that resembles the steelers.

all coaches have egos. thats why the cardinals job would be the most enticing. ill bet you, if you polled all the nfl coaches right now, they would have ideas on how to fix the arizona cardinals. but before taking that job, they would have to get the power structure straightened out with the bidwells, who are easily the worst owners in sports

I may put Donald Sterling as worse. I mean he's just a bad person, though perhaps maybe not as bad an owner as the Bidwills.

Steelers because it's a stable, high class organization with some great players and a lot of good players.

Miami would be next because they are an organization that has always been committed to winning. They have some good young players and a strong fan base.

Falcons and Arizona?.......I'd hold out til next year and see what else opens up. Arizona is so screwed up as an organization. The fact that they have as much cap room to "play" with is proof positive that this organization will never do what it takes to give a coach a team capable of winning a championship. Salary cap room is only useful if you ever actually decide to lose it. They have some amazing players right now, but are they really going to spend the money to keep Boldin, Fitzgeral, Leinart and James over the long haul? I doubt it. I'd pass on the Falcons for one key reason: Michael Vick. You can't coach him, and you can't bench him (or the owner has your head and ticket sales plummit)....so you're basically set up for failure.

As far as talent, yes. But.........their ownership sucks. Bidwell has no idea how to build a winning team. Dennis Green got a raw deal. It's hard enough for the best teams to win in the NFL. How does he expect a turnaround in three years? Constantly changing coaches only sets the franchise back. That team needs consistancy above all else. The talent is definitely there though.

Without a doubt, the Steelers. They know how to win and have a winning mentality. All the other teams are notorious losers. Miami being the only exception, but they are so far removed from greatness.

That being said, I'd rank them in this order:
1- Steelers
2- Arizona (just a few puzzle pieces away)
3- Miami (can win again if some cleaning of house is done)
4- Atlanta (and I'd take Wyoming's school of the blind before taking the Atlanta's head coaching job...whoever takes that is destined to be fired.)
