A buddy of mine is a Giants fan and he is convinced we are trading Portis to them for picks or Osi, or possibly both!
comcast sports net is running a one on one interview between gibbs and kelly johnson. one of the first questions she asked him was "are you considering trading portis now that you know what ladell can do as the starter"? gibbs replied "i'm glad you asked me that,.......NO, we are not going to trade portis. |
Re: Portis For Jason Taylor

Depends - pounds of what? Also, I think there should be a mandatory penalty for anyone starting a new "What could we get for CP?" thread - there are a million of these things already. |
Insane About The Skins....and I'm Crazy For Sure...max Could Not Hold Me..i Started Liking The Skins When You Were In Diapers
Since I was in diapers when I started liking the Skins, I doubt that is actually true. Besides, as you so well prove, the length of your fan-dom does not necessarily correlate to having any actual football related knowledge. j/k - but get real dude. Portis isn't going anywhere and shouldn't go anywhere (except to Denver for champ and a 2nd rounder). |
Re: Portis For Jason Taylor
Ok ok guys, let's get real here for a second. I think we should trade Portis for Taylor, and then we can trade Jason Campbell for Brad Johnson. What do you guys think? I mean with them on the team we'd be set for 2007.

how many Portis for ..... threads are enough. Come on people. if you are going to come up with trade dreams, how about something that makes some kind of sense. Portis 25 for Jayson Taylor who is what close to mid 30's. that would be the dumbest trade in the history of the NFL. cant we face the fact trading portis is NOT an option. Why would you want to?? |

You mean we would be set for 2000, right? |
Re: Portis For Jason Taylor
Jason is what 32 and Portis is what 26.Yeah i think that pretty much says it all.

While I think the idea is crazy, I like the thinking outside the box. That kind of trade would be pretty dumb for us unless they throw in their first round pick, even then I'd have to think about it. I love the idea of getting Taylor, but if he is considering retiring, it's a dumb move any way you look at it. Taylor should think about hanging around...he's in the running for the best defensive player in the NFL. Why retire now? He could make 15 mil a season from the SKins! hahaha |
Depends - pounds of what?
Pounds, as in British money...they don't call it Dollars like in the USA, they call it pounds. |

I usually just double it, but if I remember correctly for every 1 pound, it is 1.97 or so. I think the actual figure is like 1.9697 or something close. So that would be $216,667. |
Re: Portis For Jason Taylor
I say trade Betts he is a fumbler and the worst kind of fumbler. Rock runs well. The only player I would trade Portis for would be Champ Bailey.
