I remember when Archuletta was with Ram's he was considered a pretty good safety. He used to have an overall rating in the 90s in Madden Football, that's pretty good. I just don't understand how he can all of a sudden be this horrible, I mean, he doesn't even look like he belongs in the NFL. I dunno, I think if I was Gibbs and Williams, I'd bring him in during the offseason, have a sit down meeting and say something like. Look Adam, we still believe in you, we want you to be a part of this team, but there are certain aspects of your game that you still need to work on. We want to help you get better, stay around here in the offseason, let's put the past behind us and make it work. They need to talk to him figure out why he thinks it didn't work this past season, and help him fix what he needs to work on. Then, if it still doesn't work, I'd let him go.

either the staff hates him or he hit the wall. it happens.

AA did come out and sadi something to the effect of that the big contract distracted his play and but allot of preasure on him. I think Carter said about the same thing but he let that go and just went out and played the last 5 or 6 games of the year and did improve. Maybe being benched and another year in the system he will start to live up to his contract. I think our D as a whole started thinking to much last year and did not just go out and play. They just never had that play that got them rolling.

Not me. I think this idea that you have to be at Redskin Park in the offseason is a crock. Most of the guys made it, and we were 5-11. Hard to make a case that it's a big deal with results like that.

We should use him exactly how I use him on Madden.

Make him the nickel back and blitz him every time he's on the field. It works very well [SIZE="1"]on Madden[/SIZE].

I agree. He lead the league in sacks in my season on Madden. Maybe GW should consult us on the proper way to use AA.

Yep, I just finished a 13-2-1 (yes, a tie) season on Madden.

Campbell at QB.
Portis healthy. Betts backup. Duckett every 3rd down.
Sean Taylor missed the first 5 games of the season (preseason injury) ARGH.
Prioleau at SS...Arch at nickel back.
Springs got hurt for a couple of games (Rumph replaced)

I'm about to start the playoffs. :)

I mean with Brunell in 2004 when he clearly played the worst year of his career (he didn't even complete 50%), it was later disclosed that he was playing badly hurt and he ended up winning his starting job back a year later. I don't see why this couldn't be the situation with Archuleta. He even hinted at an injury a few times in various interviews. It may be more serious than hes giving it credit for. Screw his contract, if he comes back next season, let him compete for the starting job. If his injury is chronic, cut him.

if he wasn't hurt, he hit the wall, or he was being horrible misused on purpose.

maybe he could help our linebacker depth? i'm really not sure he'll ever be very good at safety here.

really doubt that. he's way to small and not nearly as good in coverage. he might be a decent starter (but nowhere close to a HoFer). he'd probably play better than holdman right off the bat though.

It is way too easy and effective blitzing DBs in Madden. My nickel back always goes to the probowl with like 12 sacks.
