I'm mainly referring to some cabbies refusing to serve gay people and blind people with dogs. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want a drunk mofo who is likely to puke and spill shit in my cab either. But then again, I wouldn't want to be refused service because I have a bottle of alcohol in my bag. That is ludicrous.

The real fact of the matter is these guys have no clue as to what is and what isn't permitted by Islam. Islam merely says [URL="http://islam.about.com/od/health/f/alcohol.htm"]not to consume alcohol[/URL] and they have taken that one step further.

Very true. Also, if you had a bottle in your bag, the cabbie would never know ... kinda makes the whole thing sound ridiculous.

Doesn't this self-imposed ban on alcohol really affect their own incomes? If they want to handicap their pay, that's their choice. I'm sure the non-Muslim cab drivers are glad to know that they will be receiving more fares from the airport traffic now.
