Re: Legalize it!
I agree completely. Smoking in public should be illegal.
It makes me SO ANGRY that it hasn't been outlawed nationwide yet. That's been ONE reason I'd consider moving to NY. People are worried about losing out on smoker's profits, but you have to be kidding me? I GUARANTEE YOU I'd be out at bars far more often if people weren't smoking. |
Re: Legalize it!
I really think that's what it's all about at this point.
The big drug companies have a HUGE influence in Washington. If they could figure out a way to legalize it and make a huge profit, they would in a second.
Yes. The only problem is that once legal, they'd have to prevent people from growing it. That's the catch with pharms: you can't easily make them yourself. |
Re: Legalize it!
At the root of the issue is this, it grows out of the freaking ground. All you have to do is dry it out and smoke it. There's no process to making it, it's 100% natural. It amazes me that something that grows from the earth is deemed illegal.
Is there anything else that grows naturally that is illegal? |

So, in reality it isn't the actual plant your consuming. Its the plant that gets processed with chemicals and then its made into a powder form. I think Opium is grows naturally, but I could be wrong. |
Re: Legalize it!
i say hell yes
if your allowd to drink, which is much worse than getting high, it should be legal. driving while high is much easier then driving while drunk, i've done both. i know its bad but........... |
Re: Legalize it!
Warning: Opinionated Schneed Alert
I get frustrated with this discussion because I think marijuana is for losers and can't understand why people would want to smoke it. If it's going to be legal, then the government damn well better find a way to profit from it (tax the living shit out of it like they do tobacco and alcohol). If more morons are going to be getting stoned in my country, the government better have more resources to distribute to those citizens who choose not to live their lives like a bunch of apathetic 14 year olds. If you're going to act like a moron, you should have to pay for it. |
Re: Legalize it!
Do you feel the same way about booze?

Re: Legalize it!
If you can drink, you should be able to smoke. I've tried Pot, didnt like it just wasent for me, but I mean when you stack it up against everything else, its just amazing that some of the crap that is legal and thats not.

Re: Legalize it!
I mean, of course that's one's opinion, I just wanted to make sure you were consistent with it across the board.

Re: Legalize it!
I say yes. There are plenty of other mind altering substances we sell that are PERFECTLY legal. Why not this?
Granted, I've only smoked it once in my entire life and didn't feel anything, but I also don't see what's wrong with doing it.
When your child is approahing his/her teens years you just might think differnetly aboout this drug.... |
Re: Legalize it!
Honestly, I'm going to be a very cool parent in that regard. I might have to do some hard thinking about weed, but I guarantee that my kids will be drinking with me and will have the leeway that IF they get drunk, I'd much rather them call me to pick them up than have them drive home drunk.
