I responded in the Merriwhether vs Landry thread as well. Everyone is goign to assume I just want Merriwhether cause hes a cane. So in this thread all im saying is that we should not draft landry.

Landry and Taylor arent the same type of player, that would be awesome if they were. Landry has potential and might learn to be a better cover safety. Taylor can cover any receiver in this league. The reason taylor didnt have as good of a year last year is because he was running around trying to cover other people players that were left open. Being a safety is so much about instinct.

Arch is not a bad safety. Hes a good safety, a traditional hard hitting safety. He was leading our team in tackles when he played. Hes great in the box, stopping the run, blitzing. but we didnt have corners last year, so he had to help in coverage, and he sucks there.

Arch is a good run stopper. Arch is pathetic in coverage. He's not a good safety.

Landry is a great player, but we need a cover safety.[/QUOTE] And his name is Griffin from Texas. He is a better cover guy and can hit you! Landry is 6-1 213 and Griffin is 6-0 208. We could get Griffen much later in the draft and be just as happy!

but landry runs a 4.35 while griffin gets a 4.5 or so
