Re: Randy Moss to Patriots for 4th Rounder
I can't wait until Brady throws to Stallworth, or Gaffney, or Caldwell, or anybody other than Moss and he decides to throw a tantrum/walk off the field early/not run a route. There is a reason the worst team in football, with no offense, thought getting rid of him was worth a 4th round pick.
Disagree. He will be excited to be there. Much like Meariweather from Miami. They will understand how a REAL team is run. I put Belly dick right up there behind Gibbs. |
Re: Randy Moss to Patriots for 4th Rounder
4.29? Damn that's blazing

Re: Randy Moss to Patriots for 4th Rounder
I love this move by the Pats. I think that if he's gonna be happy anywhere it's going to be in New England. I think he's probably over having to get the ball all the time if a team is winning football games. I think receivers get more upset when the team is losing and they're not involved. I kinda agree because if you feel like you can help a team win, but you're not getting that opportunity, it's understandable to be frustrated. I don't like the way Moss goes about expressing it most of the time, but I think that will change with the Pats. I think Belichick and Brady can rein him in.

Re: Randy Moss to Patriots for 4th Rounder
Great move for the Pats. His potential to return to All-Pro form is at least 50/50. He is surrounded by a great organization with lots of character guys. If he doesn't work out what has NE lost, a fourth rounder. What did we do with our fourth rounder for this year.....case closed.

Re: Randy Moss to Patriots for 4th Rounder
This is just further evidence that we need an experienced GM at Redskins Park. We are always shopping for groceries on an empty stomach.
Not only do the Patriots get Randy Moss, but they get him at a discount! Now the chance for a championship has something to do with it, but Randy Moss was on a HOF track until he went to Oakland. He's better than any receiver you'll find left on the draft board, plus he'll be catching passes from Tom Brady. Great trade, great value, great gm. And he's going to restructure his contract for less money! |

Ah, good point that's a better value than the fourth we gave up for Lloyd |
Re: Randy Moss to Patriots for 4th Rounder
Lets see: The Pats get a reciever that although is considered a head case has some pretty amazing career stats and was considered a elite reciever in Minnesota and the Pats have to give up a 4th rounder to get him.
Meanwhile the Redskins go out and get a wr that is also considered a headcase (at least by former 49ers, but not as much of a headcase as Moss) who does not have great career stats but has "potential" and the Skins have to give up not just a 4th rounder but also a 3rd rounder. Just think we could have had a chance to grab either a potential guard to replace Dockery or a DE who can actually get pressure on the qb but we are stuck with 0td, 30 some odd receptions a year Brandon Llyod - good job Front Office. Here is my suggestion - stop trading draft picks and get Denver and SF off the speedial button at Redskin Park. |
Re: Randy Moss to Patriots for 4th Rounder
I hope they make it to the play offs and who ever the NFC team is I hope they stomp them.lol. Just to tease Moss. He's only going because he wants to win a SB. He wants a ring.

Re: Randy Moss to Patriots for 4th Rounder
LOL what a joke we gave up a 3rd and a 4th for that ***** Lloyd.New England gets Randy Moss for a 4th and thats it.What a ****ing joke.:argue:

Re: Randy Moss to Patriots for 4th Rounder
What a fantastic move. New England for whatever reason can streamline malcontents into their system without incident. Corey Dillon came over and led the league in rushing his first year with the team, while helping them win a superbowl. People forget that there were a lot of questions about this move at the time. As long as they are winning games, and they will be, Moss won't complain.

Re: Randy Moss to Patriots for 4th Rounder
I think its a huge pickup for NE. I mean a 4th rounder might not even make the team, so to get Randy Moss instead is a huge steal. He'll like in NE because they are a good team and go to the playoffs often. He'll be a top 10 receiver again I bet.

Re: Randy Moss to Patriots for 4th Rounder
The History of Moss:
Signed Letter of Intent to ND then went to jail. Scholarship negated Went to FSU, but kicked out after smoking pot Transfered to Marshall Drafted by Vikings. Assaults cop and charged with marijuana possession; walks off field at Fedex Traded to Raiders - admits to smoking pot everyday to Bryant Gumbel; qoted as saying "I play when I want to play" There is a lot of talent in this kid but anybody who says that simply going to NE is going to straighten him out is naive. Merriweather from the U is a dumb college kid that made mistakes. Who hasn't. Moss is a dumb adult who continues to make mistakes. Time will tell. |
Re: Randy Moss to Patriots for 4th Rounder
I think this is a HUGE pickup for NE. And the fact that the man still runs a 4.29 is unreal.
|
Re: Randy Moss to Patriots for 4th Rounder
HE'll fit in good at NE.if he does'nt bruchski, harrison, brady, and a few of those big dline and o line will just jolly stomp the living hell out of him!the pats, barring a major injury to brady, may not lose a game next year.the JAMFS are gonna be tough to beat anywhere they play!!!

A 4th rounder is not a bad price to pay, but Moss is not someone who will make the Pats better for very long. |
