Re: NOOOO!!! Rosie primed to take over for Bob Barker!
Get used to the democrats, after Bush you'll be seeing a lot of us.
Being a fairly liberal democrat, I also hate Rosie O'Donnell. I could care less about the political side of it, she just isn't a good host. I just wish her and DeCaprio would have a 'tard off to see who plays the most convincing retard in movie roles.
I couldn't care less about politics when it comes to this. A game show like TPIR has not one single thing to do with politics and bringing someone like her in immediately thrusts politics into it because that is what she is known for right now. Chances are any host they bring in is going to be liberal so who cares about that? If i cared whether movie/tv/whatever stars were liberal then I guess I'd never be able to watch much TV or movies. |
Re: NOOOO!!! Rosie primed to take over for Bob Barker!
I didn't realize that she had been on Gimme A Break. Dolph Sweet is right there with John Amos as all time best Angry Dad. HM to the guy from the Wonder Years. Dan Something.
I would be surprised if they went through with this. It's good pub short term, but then they'll be stuck with her. That show does not really lend itself to political diatribes. And as has been pointed out, her comedy wears out quickly. She is not a likable person over an extended period. Her talk show had a great buzz at the beginning and then she began to sabotage herself. It's like Nixon. It's indicative of mental illness. |
Rosie O'Donnell ruined the seminal 80's hit sitcom Gimme a Break. She can't be forgiven for that.
Plus, I still think Wayne Brady should be the new host
Wayne Brady all the way. He is a great entertainer. Seriously though, how many african american game show hosts have there been? I can't think of any off the top of my head. |

I think it was Dan Lauria right? You can catch the series finale of Wonder Years Thursday night at 10p EST on ION network. But anyway, Dolph Sweet was awesome. It was so sad when he died in the middle of the series. [YT]i_qPPhrl-MM[/YT] Check for Rosie about 30 seconds in |

That's a great, great television series. You have to love the brother Wayne. Jason Hervey. He had a small role in Pee Wee's Big Adventure. He played a child actor: "I have been ready since first call. I am always ready!" Strong comic timing. Without him the show is all drama. One sour note is the presence of David Schwimmer who plays, what else, a whiny, lovelorn dope. I hate that guy. |

If I remember right Jason Hervey was actually in charge of public relations for HealthSouth when they had their big scandal a few years ago. And remember Paul? |

And remember Paul?
Yale and Cardozo. His mother wanted him to be a doctor, though. My dad relayed to me a few years back that he had heard that Paul was actually Marilyn Manson. Good Urban Legend there. My grandmother was also convinced that Jay Leno played the deputy Warren on the last season of The Andy Griffith Show. It was pointless to argue. |
So, what is everyone else's favorite game on TPIR? As you know from my earlier post, I love the mountain climbing yodler. Id sit in front of my tv in college and down many a beer to that one, although Im partial to the shell game as well.
Yea line em up was a tough one. I liked Let Em Roll I think its because the car was always the prize. But also check out "2-Player Bullseye I"/"2-Player Auction" (old school) Seeing this old stuff reminds me of the old wheel of fortune days when people actually had to spend their money right then and there on the rotating prize stage. I am pretty liberal, but I hate that bitch. |
Re: NOOOO!!! Rosie primed to take over for Bob Barker!
I heard she thought she wouldn't get it anyway, and being the conniving dyke that she is, decided to "turn it down" to save face.
