I don't think it's stupid either. Vick is set to rat out everyone he knows associated with dog fighting according to the terms of this plea agreement.

Is it beyond the realm of possibility that he knows of other NFL players involved in dog fighting?

Now, it may turn out to be that Portis is in no way involved in anything of the sort -- but why is it outrageous to suggest that Vick may know of another NFL players that could be involved?

I'll bet Falcon fans never in a million years could have envisioned this with [I]their[/I] star player.

Fair question for a thread htown. My gut says, if anything, Vick will rat out names not in the NFL. All Vick wants is to get back in the NFL, if he starts diming out fellow union members I doubt they'll have his back when it's time to plea for reinstatement.

I do agree that there may be other NFL players invovled but I really wouldn't put our guy in there because of his comments.

Hell Roy jones Jr. is heavliy involved in Cock fighting. He may be involved in Dog fighting to.

I wonder whether Portis has in fact been to dogfights and all, but I highly doubt he's a player in that business. It was a good question to ask though htown.

They talked about DMX on the news after his house was raided. They didnt say anyhting about Vick ratting DMX out, but they did say he has been convicted before on anamial crulety charges. The news women also mentioned DMX was once charged with shooting and stabing his mom (charges later droped) - somthing I did not know. She was completely disguested with him.

Does Portis or another Redskin have pitbulls, that anyone knows of? I wouldnt be surprised if they bought them from Bad Newz Kennels. If you lived in the DC area, where an NFL player, and wanted to buy a top of the line pit bull - wouldnt you buy one from there (Assuming you didnt know that these dogs were fought)

I guess honor among dogfighters is just as great as honor amoung thieves?

when you compare what vick did,and some of the shit that leonard little(dui crash that killed a woman),pacman(involved in a shooting that crippled someone)lawrence phillips(arrested numerous times for abuse and tried to run over some kids) have done,even though vick did an absolutley horrific thing,it do'nt come close tp matching any of that other shit.and hey,we may never know if ray lewis killed 2 men or not!

His comments are the reason to ask the question. Perhaps he was trying to be funny the first time, but his comments on the NFL network, which were intended to put a band-aid on the first comments, only compounded the problem and led me to believe that his attitude towards dog fighting closely resembles Vick’s as opposed to the popular attitude towards it. I have no doubt about that. I also think it’s not far fetched to question how many dog fighting events he has been too. If he knows where they are, then why cant we consider the possibility that he has been to them

There is now way Vick rats out any high profile player. I am sure his intention is to get back into the game. It’s going to be difficult enough to gain acceptance into a locker room. Imagine what it would be like if he rats out players.

No way. If Portis was involved in this, when asked the question by the WAVY TV reporter he would've ducked it. Being from the rural South, he probably has witnessed dogfighting and doesn't think it's a big deal (stupid), but I highly doubt he is involved.
