Boy, I hate to speak against Campbell, but Eli will lead the Giants to the playoffs this year for the 4th year in a row. Granted, he has folded in a lot of big games, but he also has at least a few come from behind wins. The former out-numbers the latter, sure, but Jason hasn't given us many come from behind victories at all (just one, right? against the Jets this year) and I'm pretty sure that wasn't Doug Williams wearing number 17 when a plethora of 4th quarter interceptions kept the Skins from beating Dallas and Philly in back to back weeks this season.
They seem pretty comparable, but Eli has more experience, and has had more success. Hard to reason putting JC ahead of Eli.

No question. Eli has had success. I'm no fan of Eli's at all, but he has led his team to the playoffs a # of times. I don't see how JC should be ranked above Eli. JC really hasn't done anything yet. I think he will-I'd like to think he will, but this isn't a poll about who will be better, its about right now. Eli's had a good year.

I have two issues with the rankings. 1st, I would not put Brady ahead of Manning. If Manning was a Patriot, he would have already had the record. Manning and Brady are of very similar age, look at the differences in stats. Granted Brady hasn't played as long, but he has in no way put up the stats that Manning has. Manning is the smartest qb to ever live.
The other issue I have is fairly predictable, and I won't even mention his name, but I will just say he's ranked way too high. (like gump says...that's all I got to say about that) :D

Until then, I really can't say he's better than Manning. It just seems like an overreaction to a historically great season, and even recently he's started to disappear in some games. He's got two less years of experience than Manning, so its conceivable he could still improve, but until he does, I have to treat Brady's season as an abberation.

McNabb had an excellent year in 2004...yeah, well what has he done since then. Wouldn't shock me if the same thing happened to Brady.

Vince will improve next year when he's not so injured, but the media does have the delusion that he's going to develop into a good passer, which looks unlikely at this point to say the least.

man i really agree with their write up of JC. strong arm, needs to be more accurate in the mid range passing and HE MUST START TO READ DEFENSES QUICKER AND MAKE THE RIGHT DECISIONS.

I would put Brady ahead of Manning becuase he was a huge part in NE winning 3 rings with average wr's. Plus he almost got to his 4th last year with below average wr's.

Plus he is more accurate, with a quicker release, a stronger arm, and no running game

Coaches generally change a quarterback's throwing motion only as a last resort. Washington appears to have succeeded in helping Campbell, 25, overhaul his mechanics. Campbell has improved his completion percentage significantly, but he's still in the early stages of development.

"He is a big, talented kid," the secondary coach said. "He can pretty much throw any ball you need. They are probably taking it easy with him with the idea of, 'Hey, listen, don't lose the game for us.' But he might be able to win for them with time."

The AFC scout studied Campbell at length, starting with the seven starts Campbell made last season.

"They really did a nice job of changing his throwing motion," the scout said. "They really shortened his stroke, which helped him. I was really surprised at how much better he got during the summer."

Campbell might be more of a born leader than some quarterbacks.

"He takes charge of things," the secondary coach said. "You don't see other guys in the huddle saying, 'Let's do this, let's do that.' They have some veteran guys. He carries himself that way. I'd be willing to bet he has good leadership ability."

looks like what i said two years ago ;) he really did improve massively over the summer (surprisingly so) and he's no longer a question mark as a starter (now if he can work on that fumbling problem...).
