Re: Dungy To Retire
Are you guys sure this isn't a rumor?
I started the tread from what I heard on the radio and the only source was ProFootballTalk.com -- The Best Pro Football Scoop on the Internet so I'd say rumor at this point. I jumped the gun but if he does retire I can say you heard it first here. |
Re: Dungy To Retire
That sucks for Colts fan.lol I was in Indy last year and went to a sports bar to watch the Redskins Falcons game. When I asked the asshole bar tender if he could put the redskins game on one of the 20 TV's in the bar he just smirked and said the only football game on was the Colts game. The Colts ended up losing that game on a 60 yard field goal which made my day. Ever since that afternoon I don't really like the Colts.
But I do give coach Dungy his props for being a great coach and like Gibbs an even better person.
I haven't liked the Colts since they moved from Baltimore!! Fuck the Irsay's!! They're trailer trash!! |
Re: Dungy To Retire

Off the record, I hear he's 99% sure this is it for him
But, this time of year everything is so unpredictable |
Off the record, I hear he's 99% sure this is it for him
But, this time of year everything is so unpredictable
From what I understand Jim Caldwell will be a fantastic replacement, and the Colts might not miss a beat with him filling in. But if you're right and he's gone, look at the coaches the league has lost the past two seasons: Bill Parcells, Joe Gibbs, Bill Cowher, Tony Dungy, Marty Schottenheimer... That's quality coaching right there. It will certainly be a loss for the entire league if Dungy does retire. But he's got a SuperBowl ring (should have two, he built the team in Tampa that Gruden won with), 5 straight 12+ win seasons, lost a son to suicide, and won over the hearts of a lot of players and fans. He has nothing else to prove in my opinion. A hall of famer in football AND life. |
