Re: Google Launches New Browser
I pulled up The Warpath in Chrome and did not get the Acrobat plugin error. The free version would be Adobe Reader (I highly recommend Foxit Reader instead), but that shouldn't have prompted you for that particular plugin for any phpBB/vBulletin sites.
I just downloaded Chrome last night to check out, anyone use it on a regular basis? Pros/cons? It seems pretty fast.
pro: fast/simple con: a lot of things were developed for other browsers and never tested in chrome |
Re: Google Launches New Browser
What's with the Adobe Acrobat plug-in associated with the warpath website? The first time I tried Google Chrome, came to our website there was an Adobe plug -in requierement drop-down at the top of the browser, can anyone explain?
I've had that happen before too.. can't remember the browser but likely IE or FF also not on my computer so I didn't really look into it |
Re: Google Launches New Browser
I've been trying to use Chrome more lately and I love how fast it is, but every 10-15 minutes or so it hangs and I have to restart it. Anyone else have this issue? Guess I'll just stick with Firefox.

Re: Google Launches New Browser
Anybody seen google's new images search that places images in related wheels? It's pretty tight.

I actually started using Chrome as my full time browser the other day and have had no issues with having to restart. As far as extensions go, Chrome has almost all the extensions I use in Firefox, so I figured I'd make the jump for a while. So far, I'm pretty happy. |
Re: Google Launches New Browser
I use chrome primarily but some of the quirks bother me.. not holding page location when hitting back a lot (though seems intermittent).. text field controls (such as WYSIWYG editors on vbulletin) not working, etc
|
Re: Google Launches New Browser
Ive been using Chrome for almost a year now for home use. At work there is a website i have to go to that it doesnt (or didnt) work.
I havent had any problems with it. The only issue ive ever had is in windows you can right click and set a picture of hot chick, Redskins logo, or something else you like and set it as the wallpaper on your computer. Cant do that in chrome. I love pretty much anything google. Dont be evil. Words to live by. |

oh.. and filling out forms online sucks, typically go to IE for that and checking image properties is annoying |

really sucks when opening a bunch of tabs like viewing a forum index or something |
Re: Google Launches New Browser
Chrome has been the main vector for spyware where I work. You really need to tweak the settings to make sure you are protected.
