Re: Mattyk72 presents: The Warpath Zornometer Poll™ (regular season edition)
Me so Zorny. 5.
Aside from the "new coach smell" we saw in the first game, he's been absolutely brilliant since then. |
Re: Mattyk72 presents: The Warpath Zornometer Poll™ (regular season edition)
I had my doubts about Jim Zorn when he was first named head coach. At that time I would have given him a 2. After the first pre-season game it went up to a 3. After the two pathetic performances against the Panthers and the Jaguars his rating dropped back to 2 and stayed there after the Giants season opener. The offense is progressing nicely and his ranking raised to a 3 after the impressive Saints and Cardinal victories. The play calling in the Cowboys game was fabulous. He kept the Cowboys defense off-balanced. He had a good mix of run and pass plays. He closed the game out by going to the run game and burning 7 minutes of clock and getting the decisive field goal. He gets a solid 4.

I have liked the Zorn hiring since day 1. He's a blast of fresh air and ideas (especially in comparison to who preceeded him). I really hope he succeeds. |

5, and the rest of the comment is just here to make my opinion long enough to post.

Re: Mattyk72 presents: The Warpath Zornometer Poll™ (regular season edition)
I'm giving him a 4 only because I'm just one of those people that hate giving out perfect scores... but Zorn is certainly deserving right now.

Re: Mattyk72 presents: The Warpath Zornometer Poll™ (regular season edition)
Lead the way Jim...I'm following you from here to eternity.
OH, ME SO ZORNY! OH! OH! OH! ME SO ZORNY! ME LOVE HIM LONG TIME! |
Re: Mattyk72 presents: The Warpath Zornometer Poll™ (regular season edition)
Zorn really impressed me in his postgame interview. His statement talking about how the
team can improve and how he expects to improve himself speaks volumes. |
Re: Mattyk72 presents: The Warpath Zornometer Poll™ (regular season edition)
I give him a 4. I was one of the people who did not like this hire and wanted GW to get the job w/ Al staying on as OC. Zorn is proving me wrong.

His play-calling looks good, and JC is much more effective than ever before. |
Re: Mattyk72 presents: The Warpath Zornometer Poll™ (regular season edition)
I'm very Zorny, 5.0.

Re: Mattyk72 presents: The Warpath Zornometer Poll™ (regular season edition)
Is this a little dig at Springs or am I reading too much into it?
“What a major issue we had when we have these high-powered wide receivers and Shawn goes down with a little calf sprain,” head coach Jim Zorn said. “I can’t say enough about our young defensive backs. Our safeties played like nickel backs. They had a big challenge and they got the job done.” |
Re: Mattyk72 presents: The Warpath Zornometer Poll™ (regular season edition)
I think he just means it's a minor injury and not a swipe at Springs.

Beating Dallas at home gives him my confidence

Re: Mattyk72 presents: The Warpath Zornometer Poll™ (regular season edition)
I'm giving him a 4. My reasoning for this is because while I absolutely love where we're at at this point in the season, I'm still cautiously optimistic, I don't want to get my hopes up too high and then be let down at some point. But I love the job he is doing so far.
Re: Mattyk72 presents: The Warpath Zornometer Poll™ (regular season edition)
I gave him a 5. His playcalling and clock management from game 1 to now is remarkable. Our team is executing like I've never seend, +6 in to margin, no offensive turnovers. Special teams coverage is excellent as well. I LOVE the fire and emotion zorn shows on the field... its been to long since i've seen that. In my opinion, we found our franchise qb, found our coach, and we've had our running back. The pieces are in place for us to become a dominant team for years to come. Granted it is only 4 games into the season, but you have to like the way our team has been executing and progressing in all facets of the game. Oh... and who said greg blaches d would be suspect??
