Re: Frost AVAILABLE! Who's in!?
No doubt it would take extra work on the kickers part. I don't expect that even the best kicker could just start punting any time. I'm just wondering if its something we'll start to see in the future.
Do you think the secret K/PR guild is in any way connected to the tribe of jockeys that live under most race tracks?
i believe the punter from Tennesee used to kick field goals also..the ones over 50 |
Re: Frost AVAILABLE! Who's in!?
Who here remembers Steve Cox?

Re: Frost AVAILABLE! Who's in!?
Frost had problems here and we released him.
He had problems at GB and they released him. I don't see any reason to bring him back. At all. You try Plack for the rest of the season and then reevaluate in the off-season. I'm much more worried about our ST play in general and think Coach Smith will be replaced. Suisham is also digging a hole for himself. |
Re: Frost AVAILABLE! Who's in!?
Bring back Frost why? Wasn't there a reason we cut him in the first place? Let the Placky dude finish out the year at least, he has his clubfoot moments, but otherwise I think he's been somewhat consistent.

I do,the last breed of the straight on kicker,he was even after Mosley,he could boom it pretty good |
Re: Frost AVAILABLE! Who's in!?
Plac seems a little shaky on the holds for field goal attempts. Other than that, I think he's been just fine as our punter.
Random question: how is it that no kicker has figured out how to be both a team's placekicker and punter? I would think that with every roster spot being so valuable a team (especially one like the Patriots) who try to find a guy who can do both in order to save a spot. Are they really so different that one guy can't spend his time getting good at both?
ever heard of Russell Erxleben? has the record for longest fg in ncaa,67 yrds, drafted by saints to do both, couldnt cut it,mostly just punted |
Re: Frost AVAILABLE! Who's in!?
Why on earth have we not gone back to whoever held the ball last year. Squeeze was hitting better last year. Did we let the poor sap go who held the ball last year?

Re: Frost AVAILABLE! Who's in!?
The Redskins got rid of Frost to validate the draft pick of Durant Brooks. I thought Frost was a great holder and a young punter with some promise. So why fire Durant Brooks to bring in Plakenmeier? And we're keeping Suisham?
I remember Steve Cox. Always thought he looked so weird playing football. |

Re: Frost AVAILABLE! Who's in!?
I'd say try colt in on holding, did he do that any in college?
