Re: Roster moves: Samuels, Geisinger to IR, James released
Was the pick we traded for James conditional on his playing time? Given the lack thereof, do we still owe Minnesota a late round draft pick?

I think all he had to was make the 53 man roster |
A great football team(80's Skins) is built front to back and from the middle to the sidelines. This regime continues to want to build from receivers and backs. Look at Carolina, It doesn't matter what back if there are no holes. That is what makes CP exceptional he is doing this at 4 yds a crack and no big runs.
Agreed. But he has had some long runs. Just not any home runs. I wish other people could understand that and to add to that before he got hurt he was leading the league in rushing. |
Re: Roster moves: Samuels, Geisinger to IR, James released
I mentioned this another thread a few days back. It's a bit interesting to note that most (if not all) of the linemen on both sides of the ball that led the Redskins to 3 SB wins were late draft picks/free agents.
This is the first year we've drafted WRs in the last four or five years and for some reason a lot of people think this has been some sort of pattern for a while now. I understand they got guys like Lloyd, ARE, Moss, Patten...but they also got Thomas, Kendall, Carter, Griffin, Wilson
Yeah we need to bring in studs not middle of the road stop gap players. We need two studs on the D-line and some studs on O-line too. Stop trying to pick up these patchwork players and pray they work. |
Re: Roster moves: Samuels, Geisinger to IR, James released
James was already "damaged goods" when the Skins gave up that 7th round pick to acquire him. The Vikes didn't want him and he had been seriously injured.
Geisinger is cannon fodder. Anyone who thinks they will ride his play to some point of glory is living in a delusion. The fact that he dresses and last year's third round pick does not dress for a game says a lot about last year's third round pick - - and none of what it says is good. |
