Not only that, but if we could get Portis going up the middle again, that could allow us to hit a defense quickly and split the safeties before anything could happen.

I would rather go for Jason Brown in free agency though, and spend a high draft choice on a tackle. Brown is still very young, and in a weak economic climate with the Ravens virtually unable to put in a competitive deal, and with Matt Birk and Jeff Saturday both with expiring contracts ahead of him, getting Brown in to a Rabach-type cheap deal will not be difficult.
I understand what you're saying Tripp and it's a good point. But shouldn't there also be some RT's available in the 3rd round? I don't know that much about Brown. Is he comparable to Rabach when we got him from the Ravens? I would like to see us trade down and pick up Mack and then get a tackle. A high 2nd would be nice if we could swing it somehow.

Rebuilding our lines is a main priority. What if Rey Maualuga slides down? From what I've heard the guy is a beast. He's an inside backer and we've got Fletcher.

Just throwing it out there. I think i'd still have to go w/ the lines if we can get a top player at 13.
And move Samuels to RT and Jansen to RG. Is there an opening day starting LT in the draft?
Of course, I'd still prefer trading up for Aaron Curry or sitting still for Brian Cushing.
All of those ideas are retarded!

Way to add valuable input.

Jansen at RG makes a lot of sense, Samuels at RT is a viable option but we shouldn't take for granted his value protecting the blind side.

We don't have the resources to trade up to get Curry, even though he'd probably be well worth it.

I still think 13 is probably too high for Cushing

I've heard it said that Heyer is actually a guard and not a tackle. Is this true?
