One thing that gives me some hope is that I remember them letting Taylor freelance a little more towards the end of the season. I hope Blache remembers he said he wouldn't restrict Haynesworth once the season rolls around. I mean if anything, let him try it and if the results are good, keep on rollin'.
Blache has also already said Taylor will have more freedom in 2009. In 2008, part of the problem was we had two horribly undersized linebackers. Theres no excuse for ever having London Fletcher and HB Blades on the field at the same time. Combined with an inept defensive line and two smallish DEs, we were asking for trouble. We really couldnt afford to let Taylor free lance that much. We've addressed a huge part of the problem by signing haynesworth, but we really need to find a good, BIG, replacement for Washington if we want to play Taylor at DE and let him have some flexibility.

Oh come on it's not that bad. Just think of it as our own football version of small ball. I mean for god sakes the Suns beat the Lakers with Grant Hill at PF. Jason Taylor is now our Grant Hill. Haynesworth on the other hand is going to be Shaq.

I would argue that OLB is a far greater immediate need than RT.
