Cool, lets extend a guy who hasn't done a damned thing on the field yet, meanwhile we let self-made, great players like Antonio Pierce walk.

They are trying to shore up the LB core for the future.
The FO knows that next year's draft will be heavy in
future needs, so they are locking down a foundation,
something We haven't seen since CCasserly was GM.
it's a good look, especially when you have reasonably
young talent locked up aka Hall for 6, AH, Horton, Landry,
etc.
